Our heaviest-weight flannel, now in stripes. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. A beautiful shirt. High quality fabric and excellent workmanship. Some shrinkage which i expected since the garment is 100% votton. The shirt ran long in the sleeve so the git was better after washing and drying in the dryer. My husband wears the shirt as a jacket and looks very put together in the shirt! This is the 3rd of this shirt I purchased for him. One plain color, one plaid and one striped! A great investment

This was supposed to be a large. When received, the tag said it was a large (L). It was at least a XL size. I have ordered other shirts as larges from LL Bean and they fit well. Not this one.

Striped Chamois Shirt
The quality, fit and colors are excellent in this shirt. It is as pictured. My husband likes LLB solid chamois shirts and it is nice to have an alternative to the solid colors. It hasn't been washed frequently yet, but expect it to wash very similar to the solid colors. I would love if these shirts could keep the original nap, but they wash better than any other heavy flannel shirt we have tried.

Super Shirt
Great flannel and perfect weight for most outdoor use with temps in the 50's. Soft and fit is just about perfect -length of sleeves and around chest and shoulders for a medium- Color is also appealing. I got a couple of unsolicited likes from strangers.

3 shirts 3 different sizes.
My gripe is not the shirt, it's the crazy discrepancy in sizing which is wildly inconsistent. The shirts are great from a standpoint with beautiful colors and soft material. You just can't count on it fitting. My first shirt was awesome. Got another in a different color and It didn't fit. Got a replacement in that same color and it's somewhere in the middle of the other 2 shirts. I'll make one work but it's still a little tight and not a great fit. I would love to be able to just say how much I love everything but unfortunately it's not possible.

I generally always wear a mens Medium in both traditional and slightly fitted, but this chamois is absolutely enormous to the point it’s almost comical. It says it’s a medium on the tags but it dwarfs me. I’m super bummed if this is is supposed to be the fit bc it’s such a beautiful feel and look! a
