Nice socks...line dry only
I ordered 9 to 12 size (med) My shoe size is 8-1/2 They fit well and are comfortable. I washed them in warm/cold water and line dried them to avoid shrinkage as they are 100% cotton. Air drying them for a few minutes after they were dry made them nice and soft.

Not a fan.
Stretchy but not big enough. I am female and wear a size 11 shoe. Yarn too thick and stiff for my liking.

Run small,order size up.
These socks shrunk after washing. I got the 9 and should of ordered the XL. They look and feel great but very disappointed. For the money I spent I'm not happy.

Super stylish raggs
I purchased a set of these socks and liked them so much, I ordered another. I originally wanted a medium but ordered the small by mistake. They are unisex sizing and the small fit me perfectly. They must run large as according to the size chart, I should have ordered a medium. They aren't too thick, wash and dry well, and are cute!

Tiny and tight
When I received these Adult Cotton Ragg Socks I was shocked. They were tiny. A normal ragg sock for women shoe size 8 measures about 8 inches from heel to toe. These newly arrived socks measure around 5 1/2 inches heel to toe. So, I wore them and yes, they did stretch out and they were warm but they were like wearing compression socks. I can't anyone with larger feet feeling comfortable with these socks.

long socks for a girl
My daughter has long feet so these unisex socks hit the spot. She can keep the pink ones and give the other pair to her husband.

Way Too Small
I purchased a Medium (for women size 6-10; I wear a women’s 8.5). I can’t even get my foot in them. Nothing like the ones I purchased two years ago. I’m very disappointed in these.

Not Bean Quality
I was practically born wearing LL Bean and this is the first product I’ve owned (whether gifted, handed down or purchased myself) that was not just less than stellar, but actually pretty awful all around. I purchased these thinking they would be like the two pack I had bought a few years before, but they were so, so far from it. The amount of elastic in these socks make them impossible to both wash and wear. One wash on the coldest setting and one dry on the lowest heat setting immediately shrunk these to toddler size AND initiated holes in the toe seams. They take FOREVER to dry on low and completely fall apart on medium heat, so if you’re trying to make these last, you’ll need to air dry them for several days at a time. I’ve never in my life said this about ANY LL Bean product, but avoid these at all costs. They truly are a waste of your money.

Comfortable and warm
The material is feels soft on the skin and they seem to keep my feet warm. The one drawback is my foot slides inside the sock which causes some sensitivity to the heel.

I wore these once and then immediately got a hole in the top of them. They shrunk a lot too after washing in cold. Not very impressed

Warm socks.
I love these socks. Keep my feet warm without feeling “sweaty”. Good for in boots or just around the house. The only socks I wear in the winter.

My shoes eat these up
I'm a bit disappointed with these socks. They are very comfortable but they have a tendency to slip down on my feet.

Too small
The Large was too small for my husband’s feet (size 11 US men’s shoes), so I exchanged them for XL. The XL is barely any larger, still too small. They stretch, but when stretched to where they appear to fit, they are pulled too thin and too tight. Very disappointing. LL Bean needs to go back to the way they made these a few years ago.

Good for hiking in most weather.
These socks are thick enough to provide some cushioning in hiking shoes. They're not too warm to wear in summer, and are warm enough for mild days in winter. They shrink a bit with washing.

Not What They Used to Be
I've been buying the Cotton Rag socks for 10 years. They've been so durable and well-made, I'm still wearing the first ones I bought. The last couple of years, there's been a significant change in how these socks are made – quality, fit, material. The sizing is completely off, and inconsistent from pair to pair. I wear a women's 7 shoe and always buy the Medium size. The Medium size now looks like it's for a child, and even the Large has sometimes been too small/tight. I went through about 4 different returns last year because nothing I bought or exchanged fit. In one two-pack I bought, all four socks were different sizes, and in another pack, there was a large hole at the toe seam on one of the socks. I'd hoped L.L. Bean would have improved these in time for this season, but unfortunately I ran into the same problem with this purchase, and returned them the next day.

Poor quality
I wear a women's 10.5 and ordered a L. The cuff portion was super tight (and I have thin legs), and the foot was thin. The toe seam was annoyingly scratchy, and even though I generally wear my socks inside out to avoid this, the socks were so thin and tight, I just returned them. Really suprised, but should have listened to negative reviews.

Gotta get these socks!
The whole family asked for these socks for Christmas! We all love the cozy warmth, and they don't itch like the wool version sometimes can.
