Sleepy Feet
My first pair of these were purchased for hiking. My next two pairs for skiing. But I have to admit that my last two pairs were bought for sleeping. I’ve discovered that they are oddly perfect for the perfect night’s rest. I only get into bed wearing socks if it is especially chilly (my feet cramp when they’re cold) but end up waking in the middle of the night to pull them off because I’ve gotten too hot. Oddly, these wool socks have been the solution! They keep my tootsies at the perfect temperature, cozy without becoming overheated. So, yeah, I needed enough socks for day and night. :)

Huge!
I bought these in medium, which are supposed to fit women size 6-10, and they are massive. I wear a size 9 shoe (40 EU), and the heel on these extends out past my heel. I’m so disappointed and wish I would’ve just spent the money buying bombas or something else. I trusted L.L. Bean with a sock assignment, and i won’t make that mistake again. Also—to charge for returns?!!! On items where the mistake is yours, not the customer’s? Makes me hesitant to take a chance on ANY more orders, since it seems they can’t even get sick sizing right.

My Everyday Sock Year-Round
I wear these socks year-round with my sneakers, house slippers, and hiking boots. I buy enough to do laundry once a week. They last about 2 years before the heels were through. The socks may seem a bit large at first, but after washing they will be smaller even with washing inside out on cold and low heat drying.

Great socks!
They have great cushioning and wick well. My feet are very comfortable in these, the toe seams are smooth & non-irritating and the height suits my mid-height hiking boots. My only con is that they are tighter around the ankle than I would like. I end up with indentations around my ankle after wearing them.

Cresta is the Best-a!
I purchased these socks to try because I am not currently able to wear a closed shoe so have to wear sandals outside even on these chilly New Hampshire days. I take long walks every day and don"t like cold toes! I decided to try wearing wool socks with the sandals and found the Cresta at LLBean online. Been wearing them for about 2 weeks in remps in the 30s and toes have stayed toasty warm but not hot so think mid weight is good! I like the short style because I am wearing them over open toe support hose and they are working perfectly for me. They are softly comfortable and do not bind or pinch anywhere. I hardly know I have them on but I sure would know if I didn't! I wear a size 9.5 shoe and the medium socks fit very well. So glad I tried them!

Happy with these wool socks!
These socks are enjoyed inside and outside in Minnesota winters. Very nice cushioning around feet. And no problems with itching like some wool socks.Giving two pair for Christmas gifts. Women's size medium was ordered.
