Adults LL Bean stowaway backpack
Wowww bought this during the summer this bag may not be light-weight but , I've drove on my motorcycle through rain , I actually use it as my purse the quality is amazing what you expect for a LL Bean product happy with my purchase it wipes down easily definitely water-proof you got to get this backpack it's so durable it's a must have I bought the black & I've used it literally everyday and the price is spot on I adore it thank you for making another awesome product i give it a 5 + !!!

Great small backpack and IS STOWAWAY
Just got one at local LLB Outlet and went to read reviews on it and one review said there is no way it’s stowaway, I immediately gave it a try and was able to stow away with absolutely no problem and under a minute. Just turn internal pocket inside out and pack it in!

"Stowaway" is a joke
This is a great lightweight backpack, but there is absolutely no way to fold it up to stow it in the stow pocket. The reviewer who said he did it must be a genius. Is there some reason LLBean can't give us a video demo to give a small idea of how to fold it to cram it in that pocket? I bought it for a trip and am wondering whether or not to pack it, but I'd like to have it for day use as planned. Will have to just pack it flat in my suitcase.

Nice little bag
The bag fits into its own internal pocket. Its a squeeze but after battling it for just a minute I won and was rewarded with a small and light package. The straps are comfortable and overall there are nice features. I much prefer carrying this bag to the type with pull cords, which eventually digs into my shoulders.

No outside pocket
There are no outside zipped pockets on this. There is only 1 inside. This makes it very inconvenient to use since anything you want quickly can only be accessed by opening up the top and then the inside zipper compartment.

Glad we had it!
We used this on a trip to Europe when we were limited to carry-on bags. Used it for the F1 race in Austria! Great to store our water, travel towel, sunscreen and purchases. Happy with the purchase. Great as an optional personal item for the plane if needed.

L.L.Bean Stowaway Backpack
The backpack is lightweight ,good for day trips. I used it as a carry on for a cruise. The water bottle I used was small because the pocket won't fit large water bottles.I used a clip attached to the water bottle then attched to backpack so the bottle would stay in place better. It would be nice if the pocket was deeper.

The L.L.Bean Stowaway Ultralight Day Pack is the perfect backpack for carrying a few light things. The adjustable straps make it very comportable for all size people, I suspect. (I'm broad-shouldered male and it fits me perfectly.) I highly recommend this if you think it's what you need.

Great light weight high-performance day pack
My initial perceptions are very positive. I wanted a very light weight high performance day pack that fit close to my body and did not drop too far down my back. This seems to be designed for my needs. I have not had an opportunity to use it hiking yet. However, I have reviewed the other comments that were critical about water bottles pocket sizes, the pouch to stow it in, etc. I have no problems with any of those features.

Great for an extra bag when you need it.
Purchased to take on a trip where I didn't want to walk around with a backpack on in a crowded area initially.
While it folds up into a small pouch, I haven't figured out a way to make that pouch not bulky, or flat. When storing it in a jacket, it creates a noticeable bump until you take it out.
Otherwise you can fit a lot into the bag and shoulder straps don't dig into shoulders.
I'm 6'4" and about 270 lbs, wearing a XXL jacket.
I plan to add this to my saddlebag when I take weekend trips and need an extra bag.

Perfect backpack for day trips.
Great light weight backpack, it may look small yet it’s big enough to hold everything I’ll need for my daily excursions. It can easily hold my raincoat and/or sweatshirt plus my small purse so that it’s out of sight, yet easy to get to when needed. Some people complained about their water bottles falling out but I’m not sure why as I carry 1 all the time and it’s never happened to me. Perhaps they’re trying to carry those bigger bottles. Also love the zipper pockets inside to hold my ship card and passport safely. And my favorite thing is that it feels great on my back, the padded shoulder straps helps keep it in place and you can almost forget that it’s even there. I love that I can also carry it in front of me when needed too. Great buy!

Excellent pack for traveling
My husband and I did a 10 day Mediterranean Cruise that was port heavy. The Ultralight Stowaway pack was perfect for us. It held our rain gear and water bottles. Light weight and comfortable to wear all day.

Perfect traveling day bag.
Used this backpack as my day bag in Spain. It was a perfect size. Fit well to my back also. Big enough for light jacket, snacks, recent purchases etc It was not meant to substitute my big LL BEAN backpack. This backpack was, I’m venturing out for 4-6 hours what do I carry my stuff in ?
