Introduced as Bean's Ice Carrier way back in 1944, the Boat and Tote was billed as a bag made of builders' canvas for hauling ice "from car to ice chest." Today you can spot it doing heavy lifting everywhere from grocery stores to gardens, from beaches to bedroom closets. Tested to hold up to 500 pounds, it'll carry more than you can carry. We promise.

Where has this bag been all my life? I've never heard of these until the TikTok trend. I just received this one yesterday and I have 3 more ordered (due in August and September). I am obsessed. I love the navy. Thinking I might need a black one too 🤔

Why no inside pockets?
I received this bag as a gift. The quality and the iconic design are there, 100%, but for practical purposes in today's world there should be some interior pockets to hold/organize smaller items! For this reason I'm ordering my own from the competitor that's based at the end of the land.

Excellent roomy tote
This is my go-to bag for laundry, taking belongings up and down stairs and any carrying of several things at once. I can slide my cell phone in the pocket and close the bag to keep rain out.
