Not a functional drawstring!
The description is clear that the waist tie is non-adjustable, but why not?? For a quality brand like llbean to not use a functional drawstring is very surprising. They don’t stay up.

Love the color. True to size
Great color, bought a size 10 for 8 year old who wears a size 8/10. Fit great but it looks is pretty long on him. Would say it’s true to size. He doesn’t seem to care and the colors are great! Haven’t used in the pool yet and I’m hoping for little fading.

Sturdy fully lined swim shorts that fit like surfer jams-to fall below the knees. High quality construction. Size 7 for a smaller than average age 7yrs- only the waist was a bit loose and fixed by taking in at waist -1/2 inch. Appreciate sun protection fabric, non fading in chlorine or sun.
