The Black LLBEAN Turtleneck Slaps!!!
I took a chance on the purchase because I needed to wear all black.
I wore this during NYFW Fall 2024 and it was amazing! Nice fitting, comfortable material, cozy and has grace for movability! It looks sleek, posh, simple and elegant!
The wash and fold place washed and dried it warm and yet there was no shrinkage. (I always wash cold, hang dry or delicate dry. )
I am plotting to buy like 3-4 more.

So far, so good

Neck not snug
Honestly, I was disappointed that the neck on the size large/reg was not very snug. Otherwise the fit was perfect (6'2", 180 lbs).

Fit and Comfort
Nice sweater, I like the way it fits around the neck. Also, I bought two turtlenecks from Bean a few years ago and I find that they are a little uncomfortable in that they don't breathe so well, but this one I find breathes well and is comfortable. Middle weight that is relatively warm for cool or cold weather.

Very nice turtleneck shirt
I have half a dozen of these and water them in the winter, especially in places where the heat is set low. They are comfortable and fit well. I’m pleased they now come in tall sizes. Like most jersey fabric clothes they do tend to fray at the ends of the sleeves and the edges of the color after a few years. Just keep making them and I’ll keep buying more.

Didn't last for as little as I wear it.
I only wear my turtleneck 2-3 times a season and one of the seams where shoulder meets collar is coming undone. I have a couple of store brand turtlenecks that haven't done this (they don't look as sharp either, to be fair). Yes, I've had it over five years but for as little as I wear it, the seam should have stayed.

Buyer, beware! I have bought LLBean turtlenecks since 1990. As they have lasted well, I have bought them infrequently, perhaps every five years; they have always merited five stars. In contrast, the new turtlenecks fit extremely poorly: a proper 'medium' body comes with a grotesquely large neck, fit for a size XXL. It should be obvious that the snug neck is the point of a turtleneck. I shall not buy turtlenecks from LLBean again.
