We love the Waterhog mat so much, we use it at our Flagship store in Freeport, Maine. It's tough enough to handle our 7.5 million visitors, so it can certainly withstand whatever dirt, muck and moisture comes through your door.
- Easy to clean - just vacuum, sweep or hose off.
- Thickness/door clearance: ¼".
- Rubber backing.
- 30 oz. polyester fabric is made from at least 90% recycled polyester.
- Raised border helps contain water; can hold up to 1½ gallons of water per square yard.
- Crush-resistant design, with thick and thin fibers for scraping dirt and containing water.

I love the waterhog mats, and have purchased several of them over the past few years.
This time, the only problem is that the doors in front of which I placed the mats don't seem to be high enough. Therefore, the mats get stuck under the door and move their position--an annoyance. I have not had this problem until now? Are they thicker these days?

Skimpy compared to cheaper models
Ok. But overpriced. Skimps on material. Found almost identical item at Home Depot for $19 vs, $49.95, less than half price, with more shoe-cleaning surface. Waterhouse Mat’s pattern is spaced too far apart for optimum shoe-wiping. skimping on material?
