Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cresta Hiking Pants I already owned several pairs of these pants and like them a lot. This purchase was to get additional pairs in recently made available colors. They are a perfect year-round weight. I really like the security of 4 zippered pockets in addition to 2 traditional front pockets. Would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugh, very disappointing I ordinarily like LLBean clothes because they are sturdy and well made. And the fabric on these is a good weight for me: very light. But the glued-in zippers on the thighs are terrible. I have two pairs and the zippers on both separated and fell out. I have always washed and dried them carefully, and wear them only around the house, but alas! Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Athletic Pants This is a great pair of pants for athletic activities. They are lightweight, comfortable and warm. I use them for cool weather golf; pull them on over a base layer and you’re ready to play. My only caveat is size; 1-2 waist sizes smaller than what you usually wear in a pair of pants. I usually wear a 34 waist, in these I wear 33.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking/casual pants Purchased these as a gift for my husband for Christmas. He is an active retired guy and walks daily. The Cresta hiking pants are great for outside activities but also look good enough for casual wear. They fit great - finding men’s pants for trim guys is not always easy - and look great on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants, the slimmer version is back I love these pants, but the legs are too wide for me. I had 2 pairs of a slimmer style, but they were discontinued. Happy to discover they’re back! Cresta pants with straight legs Item # PF525077

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy as all get out I adore these pants. They’re incredibly comfortable. These are just about the only pants I wear in spring and summer weather. I’m impressed by how well made they are. The pants are light and thin but feel very sturdy. And I am a sucker for a zippered pocket with ample room for a wallet or phone. Cannot recommend these highly enough.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Variable sizing I have several Cresta pants in shorts, long, and zip. I've loved them. However, this last pair mysteriously had a waist size that was over an inch bigger than all the previous ones. Recently bought some jeans that were about 2 inches longer than the inseam lable. LL Bean needs to monitor its sizing for consistency - especially for mail order when you have the hassle of returning and hoping the new pair will actually be the right size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have replaced my blue jeans for casual wear I really like the fit, comfort, and coolness of these pants. Jeans are often too hot nowadays. I now have three colors in my closet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants, but... Over the past several years, I have purchased several pairs of these pants that are not only functional but also versatile and are a staple in my wardrobe. These pants are my go to for field work and I highly recommend these to others. The waist stretches out after wearing several and recommend going down a size. Recently purchased an additional 3 pairs. After the 3rd time wearing one of the new pairs, the snap button broke off. Very disappointed as paid $70 per pant. Will be contacting customer service to replace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommend buying one waist size smaller I’m a former men’s clothing buyer. Some reviews say that the waist is two inches larger than marked. The pants measure true to size when new or just washed. Because of the stretchy fabric they do expand two inches after wearing them for a short time. I tried buying a pair that were two inches smaller in the waist. That didn’t work for me because the pants sizing was too reduced in the seat and thighs. I then tried one waist size smaller and that works the best, at least for me. This applies to both unlined and lined. Otherwise, they are very good pants. I like that all pockets have zippers for security, the fabric is rugged and washes and dries well, and that the silhouette looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good as travel pants I have purchased three pairs of these pants and like them a lot. I use them for travel. They have two big advantages. First, they have four zippered pockets that protect me from pick pockets. Second, they are mainly nylon and can be washed out in a hotel sink and will dry overnight. Jim D.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hiking and Travel Pants I love these pants. I use them for travel, outdoor activities, and fishing in the summer. Plenty of room in the hips, thighs and legs. I am a bigger guy, and I like a little extra room for movement (6 ft. 245lbs). If you want tight fitting yoga pants rebranded as hiking gear, look somewhere else. Material is durable and stretchy. They look nice enough that you can use them for dinner at a nice restaurant. Then wear them the next day backpacking. I have taken these pants to Africa and Europe. They are light weight and compress down pretty well. Recently, I was able to pack 3 pairs of Cresta pants along with all of my gear in a backpack for a 3 week trip to Africa (Air France allowed 12 kg aka 26.4lbs). Backpack was from another company that rhymes with Fotopaxi.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible and versatile I love these pants. They are light, cool and feel good on the skin. The stretch allows free movement. The colors are kind on the mind. They are equally as good for hiking as they are for doing yoga, at the gym, or just lounging around the house. They are also fine for casual evening wear. I have three pairs. The way clothes change, it’s good to stock up because they often change the following year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants Love these pants for travel. They are light, packable and great for various weather. Also, very comfortable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ugh They’re too expensive for the light material they’re made of AND the length isn’t even close to being correct. Pant legs are a full 4” longer then they should be despite ordering my size and saying they’re my size on the label. Had to pay to have them hemmed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love them except... I love the pants as they're very comfortable. Love the stretch material and the looks of them. Only thing I dont like is that they slide down my hips due to the material being so slick. It lacks friction to hold to my shirt. Trying different stretch belts to accommodate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grand Teton 9/17 Comfortable, sturdy hiking pants. Wore them on a hike in Grand Teton and liked how easy to get used to while on the hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old Reliable Water-resistant Cresta Hiking Pants are perfect for foreign travel in temperate climates. Zippered pockets resist loss from carelessness or pickpockets. The pants are quite suitable for dinner at a nice restaurant even after a day’s touring hither and yon. Bean’s waistband has expanded to accommodate thick shirts. So, a 36” waist is more like 37.5”, or so it seems. You can downsize but then you might discover too many delicious foods in your travels to forego.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waist is too large I currently have two pairs is different colors sized 34 waist and 32 inseam. This pair is marked 34 waist /32 inseam, however the waist is actually too big and probably two inches larger than the 34 inch waist of the pants that I currently have. The inseam and quality of the pants were as good as expected.
