Nice style, bad zipper.
The style and patten of this vest is great. However, the double zipper is difficult to get started...takes a few tries before it slides up. I ordered a replacement to see if it was better...same problem. So both were returned. I've had this problem on several other double zipper LLBean vests.

A great layer!
I bought this for a specific use, for the Acadian Bird Festival's pelagic boat trip. The brochure said, "winter clothes". Being a native Mainer I thought layers. This was perfect!! I was warm 4+ hours on the ocean even out to Mount Desert Rock 22 miles from shore. It layered well with my L.L.Bean sweater jacket. I know it will get plenty of use.

love the weight (just enough to add warmth while inside a cool building), love the length , love the print - this is my third long vest (love variety) - but..... the hood is unnecessary (i removed it) ...... and i was disappointed with the fabric wearing thin along the zipper edge in the geo print from last year - am hoping this fabric wears better -

Good vest
I work outside for long hours in all weather. The PNW can be chilly with wind added in. This vest has been fantastic. I have worn it for a month, and stay warmer than my coworker who does not have a vest added into her layers. The ability to unzip from the bottom is my favorite feature. I wish all jackets and vests had this.
