Classic Supplex Sport Short
Great shorts. I own several pair and wear them for exercising: running, weight training, etc..., but they can be worn casually with a tee or polo. Well constructed and available in several colors. Sturdy material. The inner lining negates the need to wear briefs. My waist is 34" and the medium size fits best. Highly recommended.

Fading fast!
Already mentioned the drawstring is flimsy but, so far, it’s holding up ok. Color was yellow, but has faded dramatically- still wearable, tho. Pleased with the liner - it doesn’t trip me up when I’m putting the suit on (a huge issue with the suit (not LLBean) I had before.

Big step Backward for LLBean quality
These classic shorts have been my only swim and beachwear during two decades of retirement. I have purchased at last 10 pairs that survived months of hiking, snorkeling, sailing, swimming laps and daywear. My old purchases successfully survived and were replaced after long activity. However, this season, I treated myself to three pairs of new ones. After ten weeks of swimming laps, hot-tubbing and poolside relaxing, all three pairs have faded into a puke-like color. Don’t buy them if you are going to get them wet every day.

Weak elastic in waist makes for a poor product
I really wanted to like these but found that the elastic in the waist was very loose/weak. The only way to keep them on is to rely almost totally on the drawstring In that sense I am disappointed with this purchase. I kept them only because they offer sun protection. In my opinion these are not up to LL Bean standards.

These shorts are not as short as advertised
6” inseam is not 6”. I bought these as short shorts and they’re actually quite long. I usually wear xl and got a large, they’re too big.

Too big in seat and thigh
I wanted to love these shorts. Colors are great, fabric is great, 6" length is great. Large size fit me as expected in the waist. However the shorts just have too much material in the seat and thigh. This is probably fine for casual swim wear but I was looking for an all around sport short. If LL Bean makes a sport short version sans liner and with a slimmer fitting seat and leg opening I will be a buyer.

Very good shorts for hiking and running
I've been buying these shorts from L.L.Bean for years. With a 6 inch inseam they sit right above my knee so they are great for running and hiking. They work as swim trunks too which is nice when your traveling.
