Nice bag but really needs pockets.
The bag looks great and is very big but could use some inside and outside pockets. It's pretty much a large tote with a zipper and a shoulder strap.

Classy Suprise Thank You Gift
We have give L.L.Bean tote bags as suprise “Thank you” gifts a couple of times. For me it is a practical way to show appreciation. I monogrammed the bags I gifted. This Wardens bag is great for men. While visiting one of our friends whom I had gifted one of these bags, I noticed the bag in use. My friend exclaimed to me how much she loves it. It felt great to know I gave a gift that was getting used.

L.L.Bean - Maine Warden's Tote Bag
I ordered this bag back in mid-July and back ordered until Sept 21.
The order was received on Aug 2nd, much fast than expected.
My first look was wow, this bag is huge. It was well-built and very roomy.
I agree that it needs pockets inside for items like your phone.
Long story short, I cannot wait to use the bag!

Maine Warden's Totebag: A Useful Bag.
I purchased this item to be used for work, especially when I go grocery shopping after work. The size is very large and seems larger than the dimensions quoted in the Product Description. However, the construction of the bag appears to be well thought out and the interior lining very useful. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Very nice, sturdy, well-made bag. Good-looking. However, as other reviewers have stated, the design of the clips on the shoulder strap prevents easy removal of the strap. Not that big of an issue for me. but could be for others.

A breath of fresh color for totes
It was the only one and last on the shelf so I grabbed it. The dark khaki sets it apart from the usual LL Bean colors of camos and olive. The Maine patch is what caught my eye and precisely sewed on. Todd Snyder X LLBean hunter's tote bag is also a great choice but has quickly sold out. I have collections of hunters tote bag i use for grocery shopping and always a shopper's attention at check out.

The product was selected for being water resistant, but also for the color. First outing was a sea duck hunt in January. Contents included 40 plus rounds of ammo, seat cushion, food, thermos, spare gloves, emergency kit and more. The bag rested on seaweed, while it was snowing and it stayed dry inside.

It’s big but the zipper is strange
So the big is very LARGE. I was planning on using it as a briefcase but it’s way too large and with no internal structure nor pockets, the bag sags into itself. The shoulder strap clips into plastic brackets that just seem cheap in comparison to some of the other products that LLBean usually sells. The size is best as a weekender bag, while the quality is good. I could have easily bought the canvas totes and been way happier.

I love this bag. I pulled it out of its packaging and it's what I had hoped for. A wonderfully large sized bag ready for the lake or weekend trip. 2-3 sets of clothes, a couple pair of shoes, makeup and laptop. I'm happy with the sturdy zipper so I can fully close it on a plane, stuffed under the seat in front of me, kicked once to make sure it's completely under there - it can handle it. It spoke to me, 'I'm ready to go hiking and exploring,' it said.
