Wonderful vest

Warmth in a compact size
I purchased this primarily for cycling and camping. I find that it provides the warmth I was looking for and the packaway is very useful. The one thing is the size - reason for 4 starts instead of 5. I originally ordered a large but it was very snug with a single thin layer underneath, which led me to an XL. The XL is much larger but the drawstrings at the waist allow me to take up the slack when desired.
Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Nice Vest.
This vest is surprisingly warm, has ample pockets inside and outside for carrying your phone, wallet and other stuff. The collar seems taller than other vests from LL Bean which could be good or bad depending on your needs. The only draw back it that the length of the vest is too long for layering with other outerwear, but I am sure it is fine for people with a tall torso. It would be better if the length was 2 inches shorter.

Nice vest when just another light layer is needed. I am replacing a well worn Men’s Item #288305 that is similar, about 8-10 years old. I do like the older version a bit better as it has a shorter collar which is nice when I layer with another jacket.

Bought this to use as a layer under outer coat for motocycling. Perfect for the application. It's light , thin, and warm down to 45 degrees so far. The black vest also looks good enough to wear around town. Does seem flimsy though. hoping it holds up

Loved the design right away with the deep navy blue and orange accents. Theres plenty of zip pockets for utility and yet its dressy enough for a business meeting. I initially felt the price was high for the vest ($148 on the rack - by about $48) and put it back, then put it back on and decided to invest in it. I'm really glad i did. It wears and looks great and the depth of colors really pops. Plus, it is not too warm and yet provides just enough warmth for a hike, the office, errands or casual dinner out. Its a winner!
