Scotch plaid flannel nightgown
Nice soft flannel. Love the pockets. My only reason for it not being 5 stars is that the material is noticeably thinner than prior Beans nightgowns that I own, though it feels like the same soft flannel, just thinner. I always get a size bigger in nightgowns so my sizing below is a guess.

Great coverage for those who chill easily
Great coverage. Runs large, but wash and dry hot and it will be perfect fit for 130 lb. Woman if she likes roomy night gowns. Cell phone fits perfectly in pockets. Sheds alot in dryer and quality (material not as heavy weight ) as older ll.bean night gowns, but hey, nothing is as good as it used to be. Still love that it actually covers my long arms, legs and neck.

Cotton flannel fabric
The cotton flannel fabric is very soft. It washes well the first wash. But, wash it a second time and the fabric pills considerably. Earlier I had purchased the matching robe and encountered the same problem with the cotton flannel fabric when I washed it the second time after the matching nightgowns had arrived. . I would not recommend purchasing either item because of the considerable pilling.

My favourite nightie!
Received my lovely nightie. A few things I’ve noticed in comparing it to my older LLBean nightie …there are a lot fewer tucks at the top and back, also one less buttonhole. Also, for me, the pockets are not necessary and just add bulk. If LLBEAN is trying to cut costs in production the pockets could be eliminated. Other than that …100% cotton, soft and cozy so they’re still my favourite.

Finally! A flannel nightgown in Petite sizes! This one is lovely, with a soft feel and drape. And, unlike regular sized nightgowns, no tripping over the hem. It's just right for my 4'11" frame. I've purchased two more.

Better quality than 25 years ago!
The last of my L.L. Bean staple nightgowns was completely warn out after too many years. But I never dreamed the 2025 version would be better than the original.
For starters, it has deep pockets. And the flannel fabric is thick and warm in classic and modern plaids. The nightgown’s cut is full and the length is longer than I remember. The sleeves are just right but not so tight they can’t be pulled up to the elbow, and the placket front is easy on and off, even with my glasses on.
This was the one thing I asked for from my sons and husband for Christmas. And I didn’t get it; instead I got two cheap itchy polyester nightgowns. My husband conceded in January and I got what I wanted. Since then, I sometimes wear it night and day. It’s been a real old-fashioned winter in Maine!

I ordered a 2x and it runs very large. The nightgown is very long and the sleeves are also long. The material is very soft and not the usual heavy flannel. The plaid is a deep red and black. The nightgown has pockets??? Who needs pockets in a nightgown?

Not as good as it used to be
I purchased this in a different color several years ago, and I really loved it. I decided to purchase it again, but this time the weight of the flannel fabric is clearly much lighter. This means it is less warm and less durable. The price is probably the same as before or a few dollars higher.

I like this gown and I wear it. However, the quality of the flannel is not up to LLB's standards. It is flimsy -- you can see through the weave. And it pills. Bean's men's flannel shirts are not the same flannel -- I've often bought them for my husband and they're fine.

Ordered Regular since Petite was sold out-not a bad thing when it meant extra flannel for the same price to keep you warm! I am 5'2" and length was to my ankles. Side pockets were an unexpected bonus. Quality means it will last for years.
