More like a traditional sweater
I like this sweater fleece simply because it does not look like regular sweater fleece. From a distance, it looks like a regular sweater. It is much easier to care for than traditional wool. Just make sure to wash it inside out to stop the pilling. The pattern also hides the pockets. It is easy to layer t-necks and other tops under it. Of course, you did not offer this pattern in women's. I found that the men's size medium is an equivalent to a women's size large.

Don’t recommend
Got on sale for $90, still not worth it - pilled horribly after less than a week of wear. I know some materials pill worse than others but I’ve never had a shirt pill that bad that quickly. Returned.

Bean sweater fleece
My wife got this for me this Christmas, love the fit and color, can be worn out over a T-shirt even with temperatures like we've had recently in Northern Maine. Classic LLBean color palette. I have an athletic build, 6' around 185 lbs with broad shoulders, a size Large was perfect. Some have complained about the "kangaroo pockets", I feel if you're not V shaped you probably won't like the fit.

Headed to Sweden!
I bought this pullover for my son. He absolutely loved it. He is tall and slim and the Large/Tall fit him perfectly. He is currently living in Sweden so I wanted him to have it to take with him after Thanksgiving. It came in a timely manner after ordering so I was extremely pleased. It is a subtle, handsome pattern and comfortably warm.

It’s nice but the pocket lining is all one piece and even with nothing in it, it sags out of shirt. Forget about putting anything in it because it looks like you have had liposuction and your skin flap is says hello 2 the world…

I have many LL Bean sweater fleece pullovers. I love them! I wear them all winter layered over LL Bean turtlenecks. They are perfect for cold Mass winters.They wash really well with no pilling (I hang them to dry.) They are just so comfortable! I highly recommend them!

I wore this right out of the store! Love how it’s understated colors and dignified look. Not your typical fleece, as it can be worn for business AND pleasure. It takes the out of 65* weather, as the seasons change. I wish it came in a zip jacket. I appreciate the chest pocket! I swing between a medium and a large. Got the large, the sleeves feel a bit snug on the upper arms, don’t really know why, but a person who IS a large, might not notice this. Love the warm pockets. I am thrilled with this purchase!

I bought this fleece a while ago because I wanted a fleece with the same look as my 40 year old sweater that I love so much. Final thoughts - collar too bulky and tall, sleeves too long and narrow, and after light use it’s starting to pill.
Great idea but could have been executed better.

As I am accustomed to receiving from Bean, the quality of this purchase was first rate. The colors are vibrant, the pattern is interesting and the fit is true to the stated size. If there is any comment I would offer for improvement, it would be to change the plastic neck snaps to a zipper for improved control.
