Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter Boots Very warm and comfortable, felt like I was wear a pair of shoes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting fit This boot is mostly the right size. It seems like it runs about a half size small. I normally wear 6.5 or 7, and the 7 fits on the small side. The main issue is that I feel like the boot forces my foot toward the center of the boot and off balance. This makes the inner side of the ankle rub. I’m going to keep them because they are warm, and mostly do their job otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter Boot Being outside walking for many hours, I have found the Storm Chaser Boots comfortable, not bulky, and most important my feet are warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Southern Utah right out of the box bought this and arrived 2 days before I was set to leave for 10 days across all the national parks across southern Utah, first long hike was Delicate Arch, and ending the trip up to to West Rim/Scout Overlook/Angels Landing. Not a single blister. Only prep I did with these boots was that I did swap out the insole with custom soles from Red Wing (highly recommend for you to walk in and do a walk test, modern technology will measure how you walk and what kind of soles are best suited for you). So surprised these were so great without any breaking in. Make sure you wear performance or wool blend socks to help with sweating. They are moderately warm, almost too warm but Utah has a warm winter this year (up to 60s F for the day highs and early morning lows in upper 20s). These also fit my yaktrax microspikes perfectly (add 2 to find your yaktrax sizing, I was a 8.5 which means medium yaktrax with this 6.5 sized boot). Hiked queens trail in Bryce Canyon in slush/ice/snow/mud mix with microspikes and these boots, no scraping or blisters. very pleased and well worth the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Snow Boots These boots are amazing. They provide excellent traction and have kept my feet extremely dry. As someone with severe foot pain, I was worried that new boots would kill my feet but they didn’t.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied with traction and comfort. Excellent traction so far. I haven't tried them on slick ice. They are comfortable, easy to put on. Clean up easily if muddy. We haven't had any below 10°F this year so I can't speak to their warmth at that point. Recommend these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have boots will travel 5 stars for fit, where normal shoe size is 8 wide, purchased 8.5 medium width. Worn with just one pair of wool socks. Waterproofing good and laces are a snap to do. These are sturdy boots and look forward to many years of wear. Warmth is okay in 30’s outside temp but when lower temp toes get cold. So far, Icefx sole on snowy, slushy ice good though I am careful where I tread and need more experience under various conditions for me to trust them more. I am a boot conniseur and have 4 pairs of winter boots which I match to temp and conditions; one pair for coldest temps to -40 and below used with spikes for ice ( not most comfortable stiff); another pair of icefx soled boots to about -20 ( super comfy but a little clunky); storm boots are next temp range wet snow and highest boot for deeper snow; last pair are short little slip on boots for driving and dashing around parking lots when temp is 30 or warmer and no ice, very little snow . This winter I purchased three new pairs of boots and recycled inferior boots to thrift stores as I am very happy with all my current winter foot wear. Winter is my favorite season! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Storm Chaser Boots These boots work well in snow and ice. My only criticism is that they take time to get on and off. It would be great if they had a side zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from new boots I really like them, but just trying to break in so not so stiff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So comfortable. Really glad I bought these a few weeks ago! They are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. The only problem is they are not waterproof: my feet got a little wet in ankle-high water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boots I love these boots, for me the width and length with a medium sock are perfect....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected The fit of these boots seems strange. The sole up by the toe area curves upward almost like they’re warped, (the right boot more so than the left one) and when you have them on, it tends to throw you off balance because that toe area is off the floor so much, and it makes them very uncomfortable to wear. The insole of the left boot was bunched up a bit in the toe area too, also uncomfortable. I do like the looks of the boots, the length and width of them was perfect, they’re just not the quality I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with these boots! Comfortable fit; plenty of room in the toe box; rugged Vibram sole helps me to feel secure; lightweight enough that I wore these comfortably on my 5k winter walk.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost amazing These boots are surprisingly light on your feet and pretty comfy right out of the box. As others have mentioned, size up in them. My two gripes with these boots are: 1) They put little patches in the upper insides and the stitching on the patch is rubbing and digging into my leg. I now have a scan after two days with the boots. Am debating returning them because of this. 2) After about 15 minutes of walking in 30 degrees my feet were getting cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect boots for the all-season hikers These are great boots and very comfortable! I have been climbing up and down steep muddy slopes for miles and crossing cold water creeks. The boots have kept my feet warm and dry and the rugged soles provide excellent grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them My wife finally wore our her favorite Storm Chaser boots after many years. She loves her new pair. Great for wet conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Them! These boots are very warm for cold, wet days. They keep me watching lacrosse games as well as when I'm out in the snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious winter boots. It's hard to find "real" winter boots for women. I got these to replace a 10-15 year old pair of Storm Chasers that finally popped a seam. I live in the cold NW corner of PA where I hike and ride horses so I was not looking for fashion boots with a trendy rugged look! These are warm, comfortable, easy to put on and felt great on my trial hike. Like my old pair, they work well with a midweight wool sock. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall ok however, ... The boots are warm and have a great grip. The con is this... the inside stitching at the top of the boots are irritating my inner ankles. It's like a pressure point that rubs really hard. So I can't wear them for an extended period of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Five star rating says it all Love everything about them but most of all the comfort. First day I wore them I had them on for 8 hours and they felt great. Having many foot problems, including plantar fasciitis, I especially appreciate the comfort of the inner sole lining. Went up 1/2 size to accommodate thicker socks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fell twice with Arctic Grip I’m so sad to have spent so much money on my LL Bean Storm Chaser waterproof boots and fell twice. One time was a few weeks ago in Sun Valley, Idaho and today at Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I will be looking for new boots especially given that I have a huge bulge on my left hip after falling. At least these boots are warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boots ever Honestly the best fit in terms of support and feel on the foot. I always buy storm chasers but these are the best for ice and snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THESE! These are super comfortable, lightweight, and supportive! I got them to mainly wear while playing disc golf and hiking during the winter. They work perfectly especially with my plantar fasciitis!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh, wow! I had a pair of the original Storm Chaser boots for a long time. I decided to purchase these with the artic grip, plus, the style seemed a bit nicer looking. I am so glad I bought this style! I feel it fits better than the original Storm Chasers. It is more streamlined and fitted to your foot. Plus, the lacing system is much better. I get a much better "pull" on these laces for tightening the boot vs the orignal SC. These are warm, completely waterproof, and very light which is a huge plus! You could not ask for a better boot. I did have to go up 1/2 size in this boot. My normal size fit, but I would not be able to wear a heavier sock, plus it just did not feel right. 1/2 size up worked well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Definitely don’t keep feet warm as expected. I’m a huge fan of LLBean footwear but these are disappointing. I wore them for 3 hours in 20 degree Minnesota weather and my feet FROZE! I’m a cold weather gal and really didn’t expect this from these boots. I will be returning them unfortunately.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wonderful boot but way too small I was really hoping these would fit, but they are way too small. I couldn't even get my foot in the boot barefoot. Unfortunately, I wear an 11 and could not order the next size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good boots- seem to work in rain and snow I was looking for waterproof boots for dog walking in the Pacific Northwest that would also work in the snow. They were given a test this week on grip since we had snow, which then turned into ice, and traction was better than my old snow boots. I was worried since other posters wrote they needed breaking in- normally I'd wear boots around the house to make sure they fit well (in case I wanted to return them) but these boots come with several warnings to not wear them inside as they can damage floors. So I've just tied the laces on a lower grommet for the break in period. Because I don't think they're fully waterproof (due to lacing/tongue) I will switch to my other fully sealed boots when we get a lot of snow, but I believe these ones will work well the majority of the time. Grip has been good, but certainly not foolproof- it's still been necessary to do what I call the 'Minnesota Shuffle', which is that shorter stride you take when walking on icy surfaces.
