Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough shoes for tough conditions These are great for walking on snowy roads and icy walkways. They are waterproof and keep my feet dry and warm. With gaiters, I can even snowshoe with them. I will put a lot of miles on these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so far so good! Very comfortable. - I am getting used to wearing a larger size due to changing foot issues. And we have not had that much snow yet but they gripped well on the ice. The woman who helped me find the correct size was terrific!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boots with ice grip. These boots grip the ice and don’t slip. They are a bit stiff and I will need to break them in a bit. Well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am in love I just got done shoveling light snow covering ice on my driveway. Part of it is steep and I usually have had to put on cleats so that I did not continually slip and fall down. NO LONGER. I feel silly - but I love these shoes. Not one single slip or slide. They are warm, waterproof and I have also walked up and down other steep places that are icy in my town - again not one single slip. They are wide - but so are my feet so that is not a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go walk in the snow safely! The snow sneakers are nice and warm with a nice lining. The sneaker itself is a bit stiff and takes some breaking in. They feel better each time you wear them. The deep tread on the sole is amazing and keeps you safe from slipping. Waterproof keeps you dry! I purchased the eights and the width and length are perfect. The fit was true and I would definitely recommend them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Snow sneakers! When new, they chafe your ankle and could leave you with blisters. After wearing for a while, the stiff sides soften and are fit much better. You have to break in these shoes but they are great on snow!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Winter sneakers Seem to be well made. The first time wearing, they caused a rub mark on the outside of my foot and near my ankle. Some of this was my vault as I wore a thinner sock, and the shoe needed to be broke on. Second time, I had a thicker sock and work the stiffness out of the tongue of the shoe. As I am wearing them, the stiffness is working out . Looking forward to many winter walks ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artic Grip Love the Artic Grip soles. The "sneaker" shape is a nice addition to my winter shoe wear. Also have the hiking boot version.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I'm 77 and got these because am a fall risk and wanted the protection of slip-resistant sole during winter. These would make me even more of a fall risk because shoe is stiff and heavy sole is so rigid made my balance problem even worse. Very disappointed because really need. Returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from old ones are slippery I am very happy to see that LLBean has put the Arctic Grip Vibrum soles on their snow sneakers. I have Arctic Grip soles on some leather LLBean shoes and those soles have great traction on ice. The snow sneakers I own are warm and waterproof but have an old style sole. My pair is from a few years ago, and they are "slippery as whale s--t." I gave up wearing them in winter on snow a long time ago, but yesterday I wore them on a drizzly day for my walk. I stepped off a paved path onto wet grass and almost immediately lost my footing. I do not fall often, thank heavens, and at my age I do not want to! It seems my wonderfully waterproof, well insulated snow sneakers have lost another job. Perhaps they can work inside the house as slippers....they seem very willing to slip. : ) Buy the new ones with Arctic Grip....and avoid any 'bargains' on the old style. I love my Arctic Grip leather mocs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd pair This is my second pair of snow sneakers. Had the 1st pair for several years. Only wore in fall & winter, too warm for summer. Never had wet feet. The new pair are also water proof and fit well. True to size and are comfortable. Wear with heavy socks for cushion and comfort. They are heavier than regular sneakers, more like a hiking boot weight. Takes a few times wearing to break them in. Great in the snow and on slippery surfaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent in every way I bought these about a month ago and love everything about them. They are not too heavy, need to be worn for a few long walks to break them in as they start out a bit stiffer than the ones without Arctic grip soles. Warm, comfortable, forget I have them all. Safest for ice I've ever had, almost slipped once in street polished by plow but nothing would prevent that. I highly recommend this footwear! Love it. I am a senior in 70's, walk 3K a day in all weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Winter Shoe Arctic Grip is a great winter feature. The shoe is stiff and warm for outdoor winter walking. The cut is high and stiff on the ankles which I hope will soften over time. I understood the design once I walked outdoors on a frozen icy day. I love feeling a less slippery ground under my feet in the icy weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from keep feet warm and are good on ice I got these a month ago and I'm very happy with them. My feet feel warm in them, and they are good on ice. We've had icy side streets for weeks now and often I've had to navigate an icy patch while walking. Most of the time the shoes kept their grip on the ice. Only once did I slide on the ice with these sneakers and that was on thick ice that had melted and re-frozen several times. They are also easy to put on and take off, and very easy to tie. The tie holds when you are walking, yet they are easy to untie when you get home. They are also very comfortable. And their sole is high enough to lift you above pooling water on streets.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too stiff at the tongue and top They are well made but way way too stiff--I could not walk even 15 min without it being painful at the top of my foot. NOTHING helped--not thick socks or inserts put on thetop of my foot--or flexing the top before wearing. Very unyielding . I returned them. the grip works great but itis not worth the discomfort of the shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish shoe came in a wide width and not just medium Wish shoe came in a wide width and not just medium. Size was true but narrow for my foot. Keeping shoe and wearing very thin socks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Utilitarian These are sturdy and warmer than regular sneakers. Good grips on soles. A little boxy and heavy, they are not the most attractive shoe. The leather is also quite stiff, resulting in a little soreness at the heel and ankle from the tongue on my longer walks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Run a half size big I purchased this pair of shoes to replace a pair of Rockport XCS shoes I have worn out after ten years of use. The Rockport's were a waterproof brown athletic look shoe that wear well and keep my feet warm and dry in North Idaho where I live. I would have purchased another pair of Rockport's but they don't make them in brown anymore. I searched extensively before settling on these as a replacement. They are slightly heavier than the Rockport's, but not excessively heavier. The added weight is due to the arctic grip sole, which will help during ice season. I originally ordered these in a size 8, my normal size, but after trying them on they were just too big. I ordered a 7 1/2 and they fit perfectly. Plenty of toe room and not squeezing the ball of my foot from side to side. I think they are super cute and other than being pretty darned expensive I have no complaints. BUT, if they last me ten years like the Rockport's did I truly can't consider them expensive, even at this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snow Sneakers They are absolutely great, have walked on ice, no falling. I have recommended these to all my friends. All senior citizens should have the snow sneaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does What It Says!!! Using common sense I can walk without worry on ice to reach my bird feeders 100 yards down a sloping yard. A real life saver with the ice storm in Connecticut where its been five days of sheer ice in my back yard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe for walking on ice! I really like this shoe for walking on icey winter sidewalks and parking lots. If there is a great deal of slippery ice, I still need to be careful, but these are better than any other winter shoe/boot I have had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real Ankle Support They are a stiff shoe, but for walking in snow they provide great ankle stability. I was able to take out the insole and put in my own arch support.Today I was out in 10 degrees F., and managed to stay out there for at least forty minutes while moving constantly. This is my second pair over a ten year period and they have proven to be great for a person with knee surgery and flat feet.BUT, they are not very attractive-so if you can overcome that part they are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend! These snow sneaker are totally worth the money. Keeps your feet nice and warm. Also with the artic grip you feel more stable on ice. These are very well made shoes!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made These were quality made shoes but both shoes rubbed my feet at the inside large toe area. I had bunions removed several years ago so it is probably just me, I returned them. Trudy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter Sneaker! Yes,The Arctic Grip does help. It feels like you're wearing a sneaker but, you have the warmth and dryness of a boot. Felt a little stiff at first, but very comfortable after a couple wears. I live in upstate NY where winters are unpredictable, snow, sleet and ice but, I still love being outside walking with my dog. In past winters I have had some slips and a couple falls on icy roads and paths, but NOT since wearing these sneakers! Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Ice Slip Great for preventing slipping on ice. It looks like something a construction worker would wear; however, it is well made and the traction on ice is great. I had a hip replacement so I needed something to prevent a fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snow Sneakers Wow, these snow sneakers are amazing! Up until now I was slipping and sliding while walking in my New England neighborhood. Now I feel confident and secure while walking.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way Too Stiff I received these shoes today, as did my husband. We both found them slightly on the small side and way, way too inflexible. Also the body of the shoe extends too far up my foot in front where the laces are, so that when I walk and my foot bends, it hit right there and is uncomfortable. My husband found that the shoe hits on his ankle bone. It is like LL Bean did no fit testing on different people. These are nice looking shoes but I will be returning both pair as they are too uncomfortable to wear.
