short straps
love it. it has a water resistant liner inside. I am using it for cold items at the grocery store. the handle length is short as mentioned in other reviews. I prefer longer but love it so for the grocery store or beach it is useful but not longer trips as the straps would bother me.

Lightweight stands up to heavy use
We have several LL Bean bags we use for shopping. Some of the bags are over 20 years old, so I was pretty set in my preference for LL Bean's original boat and tote bags. Initially I was a bit unsure about a "lightweight" bag being sturdy enough for our use. I was wrong. This bag is sturdy and the light weight makes it much easier to use for this senior! The attractive plaid is a beautiful added benefit. I will probably buy more of these bags. LL Bean, you have made a believer!

This bag is not too big , nor too small but just the right size to hold a knitting project. And, so important to me, the zipper appears to be of good quality. The colors in the plaid make me think of fall, my favorite season. Although I haven't had it very long, I feel I'm going to get good use out of it.

I’ve used the smaller tote for several years. I’ve decided it’s a great tote for weekly activities, but I could use something larger for travel. This large size fits the bill….plus it’s a red buffalo plaid, which clinched the deal! The material and ‘build’ is sturdy.

The perfect tote!
I bought the Apple plaid. I absolutely love the colors! I will be using this no matter the season. It’s a perfect everyday tote to use for going back and forth to work or just to have. I bought this to take stuff back and forth to our RV. It’s super light, and takes up minimal space when folded up. It’s well-constructed, and I am crazy about the colors!
LL Bean please make the light tote in a larger weekender size. I’d definitely buy it. :)

Everyday Lightweight Medium Tote
I love these totes. This is my second tote ( the first one lasted about eight years). I take the tote on a regular basis to the gym. However, I especially love the tote when travelling, as it is compact and holds all my toiletries. I highly recommend.

The perfect tote.
I ordered the Apple Cinnamon and it's perfect. Light weight so it doesn't add to the weight of what I am carrying. I would recommend the larger size for my friends. They carry more around more yarn.
