A seriously soft and substantial hooded sweatshirt in a long-lasting cotton/polyester blend. Our heavyweight fabric is brushed on the inside for an extra-cozy feel.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.

Rugged and great for cooler weather.
Moderately heavy weight good for temps 40-60F in the Adirondacks. Went with a large tall.

A Huge Disappointment…
This product used to be outstanding; with thick fleece and a smooth lining in the sleeves that made it easy to put on. For some hard-to-fathom reason these features have disappeared. We are left with a run of the mill offering that shakes my faith in your commitment to quality.

Super Disappointed...
I finally wore out my trusty Katahdin Iron Works sweatshirt and was looking forward to replacing it. For roughly the same price I received what was supposed to be the replacement, only to find that it lacked the most significant features of the "old" one; i.e., nylon lined sleeves and good, thick fleece. ...No lined sleeves and fleece that's maybe half the thickness of the original model. ...This latest interation of the sweatshirt is OK, I guess, but the dropped features make me question Bean's dedication to quality.

Very thin fleece sweatshirt
Bought this as a replacement for one bought years ago for adult male. Very disappointed as it is now a thin, summer like sweatshirt nothing close to what has been his favorite, substantial Fall to Spring sweatshirt. The medium size is also smaller and a tight fit - returning & looking at another brand to replace.
