Do not recommend, Rivets are very low quality
These used to be great pants but design changed or contracted with a different sub company to make and they are no good. Careful, the revits are low quality and will cut fingers. Ll Bean please notice and change this.

Disappointed
My husband has had about 10 pair of the classic Riverton pants over the years. He loves everything about them. However, he has lost weight, and I came on LLBean to order several pair of pants for him and see that the style and pockets have been changed. Unfortunately, he will not like the changes!

No longer Riverton Pants
If you remove pockets and change the material then you should also change the name of the pants. I have eight pairs of these and just recently purchased another one, at first I thought I was sent the wrong pants. It's like going to your favorite restaurant and ordering your favorite item and being told it's no longer on the menu.

Original pocket design needs to return
Great pants but the old pocket design made them functional for the vast majority that need a secure cell phone location. The design needs to be corrected.

Glad I read the reviews!
I have purchased many pair of the Riverton pants over the years. I love the cell phone pocket on the right and a bottle of water fits perfectly in the zipper pocket on the left. I too will be waiting for a redesign before purchasing these pants.

New Design, maybe not so great
I too liked the old design better. The cell phone pocket on the right leg was higher, more forward and a snug fit. The new pocket, on the left is lower, farther back and loose, which I suppose is better for the newer and larger phones. I also liked the flaps on the rear pockets. I was confident I could go cycling without losing my phone or wallet. I'm not so sure about the new style. I imagine I'll get used to it, but I hate fixing things that ain't broke!

Why ruin a good thing
The originals were the best. I’ve purchased multiple pairs and love them. Sad to see them go I will not be purchasing your redesigned pair. I’m glad I read the comments first #BringBackTheGoodones.
