Manufacturing glitch in shoulder seam
I bought this man's merino sweater for myself (a woman of medium build). It fits beautifully, with plenty of room to layer a turtleneck under. And the wool feels fabulous! Originally I purchased the deep port color but the shoulders sat up in an odd manner that looked like the sweater had been hanging in the closet too long. I ordered the Charcol Heather color hoping the shoulders would lay down better. When I put it on to model it for my husband, he remarked that the shoulders poked out like the sweater had been haning too long. He rarely notices things like this. ...So, this is not just something I imagined. I turned the sleeves inside out to see if there was an obvious cause to the slight buldge at the shoulder.... and there is: the sleeve is joined to the body of the sweater with a seam that has an odd protrution right at the top of the shoulder. It is the same on both the sweaters I recieved. I am disappointed that this will not be in my wardrobe for the remainder of the winter. However, I will check back in at the end of the year to see if the construction has been modified to fix the shoulder buldge.
My daughter was lucky enough to recieve one of these sweaters of an earlier version, and I'd hoped to get one for myself. I just discovered that Merino wool does not bother me like other wools. I hope this manufacturing glitch all works out before next season.

medium but no tall medium.
This sweater did not come in a tall version. The M fit perfectly, but the arms were too short.

Rangeley Merino Sweater
This is a fantastic mid weight wool sweater. The perfect look and weight for casual outings. It’s cut a bit short so suggest sizing up if you’re tall.
