An icon, refreshed. We went back to our archives to bring back this favorite parka: features classic details from our 1982 original such as cargo pockets and plaid wool lining -- now updated for better comfort and weather performance.

- Shell: 60% cotton, 40% nylon.

Nice green!
Great green color. I’m 5’10”, 156 lbs and the med fits great. I wear a size 40 suit jacket and have a 32” waist. It’s 91° outside so I haven’t worn it except to try it on. My only criticism is that the Velcro on the sleeves isn’t very strong, but it’s workable. Nice jacket!

5'11, 190ish. There are quite a few reviews saying the garment runs small. This is absolutely untrue. XL is standard XL, L, (size purchased) well fitting roomy L. Yes, there are some Bean products you do need to watch, (commando sweater) but not this. Otherwise, not too distinctive a coat, other than the retro look, but for the lowest sale price, and with wool lining, it is fine. Large zipped pocket in the back of the coat makes up for lack of inside pocket. Wafer thin insulation.

Terrific jacket for shoulder seasons
This replaced my last Baxter State Parka I bought in 1984. It is perfect for Maine. It is water resistant and the wool lining keeps you warm during the 'shoulder seasons'.

So sad.
This was my 3rd in 40 years. Not even a close match to the first two. Thin noisy outer material . Thin woolen and quilted body material. Pockets ridiculously small.

Warm, stylish, and colorful
I love the fit and available color options for this parka. The wool lining is just a little itchy, but I've only worn it with a t-shirt. I like the double zipper, but mine gets stuck sometimes. Overall a good job.
