These pants are very nice and comfortable.
These pants are very nice and comfortable. I would buy them again. Before wearing, make sure you wash them by themselves in cold water and hang to dry. Do not be concerned with the odd color pattern when they come out of the washer; the color evens out while hang drying.

Don't buy these pants.
There are several things wrong with these pants. The snap has a sharp edge that digs into me, and comes unsnapped. The fly zipper is to short, making it uncomfortable to use. The main front pockets are very difficult to use when sitting in a chair, and forget putting anything in them other than your hands.

The Big Problem
If you're out on the trail and need to convert to shorts, the absence of bottom sippers is a BIG problem: you have to find a place to sit or lean, remove your shoes or boots, remove the pants legs to convert to shorts, then put on your footgear and re-tie the laces, etc. For $89, couldn't the smart folks at LL Bean add zippers to the lower seams? This would make converting the pants far less laborious.

Excellent pants
