- In a quick-dry, breathable blend of 95% nylon and 5% spandex that resists abrasion, wash after wash.

Too long for shorter women
Again LL Bean needs to make petite plus sizes. These pants were way too long and too baggy in the legs.

Super comfortable
These are great pants for outdoor activities when it's cooler outside. They are very comfortable and sturdy. My one critique is that they run a bit long. Taller people will find they fit better (I'm 5'3").

Cut smaller than in previous years
Sizing has changed since 2021. The size 4 of the Comfort Trail Pants I purchased in 2021 still fit perfectly. The size 4 I ordered this year (2025) were a little tight. I had to go to a size 6, which is a little large/loose, but fits more comfortably than the size 4. Weird that I'm wearing both pairs of the same pant, but in two different sizes. Bottom line: These are cut smaller than previous years.

Essential features not found in other LL Bean pant
I just bought my third pair. These pants have bottom drawstring, important safety feature if you are walking in the outdoors in tick infested Maine. They were the ONLY pants in the store with a pocket big enough for a small iphone. The fabric is abrasion resistant, dries fast,and does not feel like a clingy plastic bag on your legs. LL Bean, stop your slide into the kind of clothes you find at discount stores and keep making pants like this.
