Comfortable.
I like wearing this shirt, it is comfortable even if I do not look at my best when wearing it. As an older man, I am more appreciative of comfort than style. The long sleeves keep me warm on a chilly night. The shirt seems about the same after going through the wash, retaining that new shirt feel.

Very comfortable and great for cooler weather
I own many short and long sleeve Double L polos. In the summer, they are both stylish and cool. During other seasons, I enjoy and warmth and comfort of the long sleeve. I especially like that they are untreated 100% cotton (as far as I know). My experience with 100% cotton, wrinkle resistant shirts is that they do not breath well and trap heat which is very uncomfortable during hot, humid summer days. These shirts breathe well and I hope L.L. Bean doesn't change the fabric.

Good but flawed
I love the heavy weight of these and the collar, which I let fall where it may. There two issues I can’t abide. The first is common to several cotton llbean polo shirts. A small drop of food will leave a grease stain that lasts for many washes. The second, particular to this shirt is the short sleeve length. I’m a 16x35 dress shirt size, and the sleeves seem to be 33”.
