Rated 5 out of 5 by goldengal from great fit, practical, comfortable I love this full zip jacket. I have worn Bean's classic pullover anoraks for 35 years and thought I'd try a full zip for greater ease in removing it once I get heated up on my daily hikes. I love the roomy side pockets ( almost as much as the anorak pouch) , love the zip side pocket for keys or a phone. The mid thigh length is perfect. The XS is a great fit , sleeves nice and long, and the jacket is roomy enough for a fleece layer. I bought the basic navy, but would like to see it made in some other more fun colors. Would definitely recommend this jacket for a solid , hardy windbreaker, seems like it should last me another 10-15 years .

Rated 2 out of 5 by Scooners from Like it, but... I really like this anorak but I can't get passed the dangling pull cords. I understand LLB is keeping the original style look for an anorak, however, the cords get in the way. There's no place to tuck them unless the neck is zipped all the way up and I flip them over the collar. I bend over, and they dangle and get in my face. And, to be honest, I believe they are probably a hazard waiting to happen and will get caught in something they shouldn't. There is a reason manufacturers have gotten away from loose hood cords. LLB would better serve this anorak to have the hide away draw cords as the majority of their coats do. Sending coat back unfortunately

Rated 5 out of 5 by ElenaCerv from Overall a wonderful jacket I just got this jacket in yesterday and my first impression is of it is great! Literally the only down side for me is that I feel like the shoulders are a bit snug, if I try to cross my arms it feels restricted as there is no stretch to the fabric. I couldn't go a size up because everywhere else the jacket fits amazingly. The sleeve length is perfect, the jacket hits me right below the hips (which I love), it zips up so smoothly with room for a thick layer under. I love this jacket so much & if there was any stretch to it then it would be beyond perfect but I can definitely live with the overall fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Miso from Adore this jacket This jacket is sized nicely for a petite person. I purchased the petite small and the fit is good and leaves room for a vest or sweater underneath. Some of the time petite sizes are still way too long for me but this product is perfect in length. The only complaint I have is that the elastic in the sleeves is very loose so the sleeves do not stay pushed up and because of the elastic rolling them is impossible. For people who like to push up sleeves this is a minor annoyance. I wear this for dog walking and the pockets are great--plenty of room for pick up bags and a large cell phone fits well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MidwestMeg from Comfortable, excellent quality I was in need of a lightweight jacket that would repel rain and break some wind. This jacket, while light to carry or tie around your waist, is heavy enough to keep me dry during a light rain or drizzle and blocks the wind. I would consider it a better wind breaker than rain jacket. I am not too sure how well it will hold up against a down pour. I love the hood. It is deep so my face doesn't get wet but I can still see where I am going. One other feature that would be nice would be a hidden pocket on the inside or zippers on the pockets. Otherwise, fantastic jacket that I am certain I will get years of use out of. (General fit on me was a little large, I will be able to comfortably fit a sweatshirt underneath for added warmth).

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sylvia from Mountain Classic Full-Zip Jacket This is a nice waterproof jacket but a little over priced for a windbreaker jacket. For me it is a little too long. It seems like more of an athletic fit. When the zipper is closed and I go to sit in my car it is very tightly fitted at the bottom. I have to lift the jacket up because I feel like the zipper area might rip at the bottom as I am sitting. The elastic cuff at the bottom of the sleeves is too loose, it would be fine for a man but for me I would like to see it an inch tighter. I do love the deep pockets. The hood is nice, but if you wear the hood and the jacket is zipped all the way up the hood falls over your face. The hood only works sufficiently when the jacket is zipped all the way up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by csrussian53 from Perfect I had an L.L.Bean H2O dry off windbreaker that I bought in the 1990s...finally the zipper gave way, but other than that, it was in pretty good condition!! Anyway, I decided it was time to retire this gem and look for a new one. The Mountain Classic zip up in black is just what I was looking for. If I'm going for a long hike or walk, I stuff it in my backpack in case the wind picks up or it starts to rain. The fabric is nice - a bit stiff, but that will dissipate after a few washings and wearings. The sleeves are a bit on the long side, but after washing and drying, they actually shrunk so that they fit me perfectly, There is also plenty of room in the sleeves for sweaters when the weather gets cooler. All-in-all, a great jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marie from love it I purchased this as I need a light coat for walking when no coat is not enough, due to wind, mosquitos, etc, and an upcoming trip where I needed something light to wear traveling but not bulky, and the chance of some rain protection. I have had other light rain jacket type things but they were like wearing a plastic bag, got very sweaty. This is perfect! It protects against light breezes, helps me with bugs when walking in the woods, and in a light rain, I didn't get wet. I can't say how it would work in a downpour. It was very breathable. Also, for traveling, easy to tie around waist or stuff into a bag if it wasn't needed. Additionally, my very discerning 25 year old liked it so much, that she is purchasing one in her size. I think that the "retro" design with the leather tabs etc won her over.
