full zip sweatshirt
Color was nice and it washed and dried good. Didn't shrink.
The zipper was cheap, and the side pockets are set too far back and the zippers on the pockets scrape your hands when you get something in or out of them.

What happened to these
I have several of these, but they were 100% cotton. They wore forever and did not pill or lose shape. I am very upset that they are no longer cotton and not nearly as comfortable.

Soft and cozy
I love LL Bean clothes. They are so well made and this sweatshirt did not disappoint. The brown color is really in fashion and perfect for Fall. Very soft and comfortable.

2 deal-breakers
Comfy enough, but 2 huge issues for me:
1. I can't push up the sleeves because the wrists are incredibly tight.
2. The pocket openings are so far towards the back that it's really difficult to access them while wearing the garment.

Meh
The fabric feels old already after 10 minutes in the house. The cut is definitely small, though I like the shorter style. The color - red chestnut heather - like its name is non-distinctive, like an old sweater. I already cut the thumb tabs off; they just add bulk and get in the way. The pockets with zippers are less than useful. Why? One, they are set way back to the sides. My arms don't bend back, comfortably, so far. Two, they fill up the entire inside front without articulation, so they are basically a loose, inside panel. After cutting off the thumb tabs, I plan to do some remodeling of the pockets so they are not so flappy inside. I'll also need to add a pull-tab on the zipper. Beware.

Hoped for something great from
Nearly good
I am wearing my sweatshirt a lot. It's a useful item and comfortable to wear. But I am a little disappointed in the fabric. It is soft, but it has tiny pills all over after washing it once. I think I'd have preferred more cotton and a little thicker. Also I don't like the thumb slot. I rarely use it and the way it's designed makes the cuff bulky and weird. The hidden zipper pockets are quite hard to access. They'd be good for keeping something safe in a crowd, but not good for regularly accessing a phone or wallet or putting hands in for general use.

Reviews say runs small? Mine ran large!
Reviews say runs small? Just ordered and receive my usual Small Regular - same as other LL Bean similar knit zip fronts I have. The one I received runs BIG and I’m returning. Very loose fit in the torso. Material feels flimsy. Pockets are tight zippered, and didn’t realize that it has those thumb things on the sleeve. Very disappointed….loved the blue color.
