Design change required.I was all set to order my second one in gray until I read all the reviews. I ordered the white one four years ago, it is sturdy and takes the abuse of my Labrador but, I agree with all the other individuals that claim: 1). It is hard to clean, stains around the rim of the bowls and the quality of the bowls is cheap. Very disappointed. I shop at L. L.Bean because of the quality of their merchandise , it is time to make the much needed improvements on this product.

hard to cleanHi, I used the gray and the white. Both are hard to clean water stains and bowls rub off on the holder as well. Super frustrating that I cannot get it clean. IT IS NOT EASY TO WIPE CLEAN AT ALL.

Nce stand, lousy bowlsDespite reading many reviews complaining that the included bowls rattle in the stand (scaring dogs and annoying me), are really thin, lack rubber skid proofing on the base, I bought this because the stand will not rot. Dogslobber while drinking has caused my current plywood stand to rot.
It may be helpful to other customers to know that the DuraPet 3 quart stainless bowls sold by Bean fit snugly into the holes in this stand, with their top flange nearly flush with the top of the stand. They are much thicker and have antiskid rubber on the bottom. Unfortunately they add to the already high cost of this stand. I'll donate the bowls that came with the stand to a local dog shelter.
Sadly, the oldest review here describes the exact same issues with the included bowls and notes that the customer gave it a 1 star rating and returned it for a refund. This was in 2016, 8 years ago. Since then, multiple reviews have noted the same issues and nothing has been done to address them. Disappointing, not what one expects from LL Bean.

Bowls are loose & noisyNice looking, but the bowls are loose fiting and move around in their holes. With the food side, it makes lots of noise which spooks our dog and causes him to run off. When the water one is full that seems to be weighted down enough to hold ok. We needed to get some material to fit around the holes to make the bowls fit snuggly and stay still and quiet.

Attractive and PracticalI am pleased with the all weather stand for the bowls. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the bowls. They are a light gauge of stainless steel and dent easily. Also, as has been commented in other reviews, the stickers are on the inside and very difficult to remove. We bought new bowls that fit the openings in the stand.

Feeding dishesThe metal feeding dishes are very thin metal. For the expense of the item, the dishes should be made of either thicker metal or ceramic.
