Something not quite right
Build quality seemed good but they flexed in the wrong place, putting pressure on my big toe. Unfortunately the first time I took them out was on a 4-day remote trip so I didn't have any other options, and it ended up hurting quite a bit. It didn't seem like something that would resolve by breaking in and hurt again every time I tried them after, so I ended up returning them.

Cresta boot
Last pair I bought were made in Italy, These were made in Vietnam. I am trying to like them, but can tell the difference. They are not the same quality.

I like these boots.
These boots are comfortable from the moment you put them on. They require very little break in. This is the third pair I have owned. They are waterproof and wear well. The first two pair were made in Romania. This pair is made in Viet Nam. I can’t tell any difference.

Cresta II Hiker
Sizing is perfect. This is the sixth pair over the years. Break in is just a matter of a few hours. Mine have been worn on and off of hiking trails in the South, mid-West, and far West. I've worn them crossing streams, in the snow, in heavy brush, and across rocks. They are really great. Would recommend them to anyone.

Amazing value!
I bought these for my son, plus the conditioner. My son proclaimed “these are probably the best shoes I’ve ever owned!” We expect to get 10+ years of service out of these boots. With proper care I can’t see why we wouldn’t.

Amazing hiking boots!
This is my third pair! They well made! They look and feel good and require little or no breakin! I don’t polish, but I use leather treatment to make the leather softer, more flexible, and even more waterproof! So, these are my dress shoes and my old black pair are on my Harley Triglide Ultra! These hiking boots are amazing!
