Perfect layer
I bought this for a trip to Antartica - it was perfect! I also have the ultra thin base layer but wanted something warmer. This layer was the right heaviness and thickness to be fine by itself with waterproof pants and a jacket. Washes well. Fit is true to size.

Such a soft, comfy shirt
This shirt has quickly become my favorite base layer. It’s so soft and provides good warmth. It’s thin enough that it can go comfortably go under a mid layer. I’ve worn it on cold nights skiing and on hikes on both colder and warmer days. I just wish it came in more colors. When I bought it, only black and navy blue were available ( the lighter color was sold out). Please offer this in more colors and I will definitely buy more!

Great Base Layer
Purchased this base layer on the fly due to polar arctic weather that hit the Midwest in late Dec to mid Jan. Have other LL Bean base layers, however, like the tweaks made to this year’s version - bit longer in torso and sleeve lengths, lining is a bit heavier weight, and is more form fitting to help keep body heat in. Highly recommend, esp if you’ll be exposed to the winter weather for any period of time (i.e. skiing, shoveling snow, etc.).
