These boots are definitely warm and the shearling
These boots are definitely warm and the shearling lining is very comfy, but they feel a bit too bulky for everyday wear. They keep my feet cozy in cold weather, but the heaviness makes them less practical for longer walks or quick outings. Great comfort, just not the sleek fit I was hoping for.

I read all the reviews and took a chance because I love Bean boots. I ordered a size 7, which is my normal Bean boots size. They fit really well but they’re not perfect. The side zipper is completely useless. Just leave it zipped up and use the laces like on your other boots. And speaking of the laces, they are entirely too short. I’ve replaced them with black boot laces and am much happier. The shearling loooks like it’s going to keep my calves and ankles very warm. The rubber part is insulated on the inside but not too heavily. I think that’s fine because I wear darn tough socks all year long and between the two, I expect my feet to be comfortable. These boots look really good and I’m looking forward to wearing them when I need to clear the driveway this winter.

Beautifully made but weird proportions
These are SO GORGEOUS. i read the reviews and tried them anyway and I'm quite sad to report the proportions are not inclusive and forget someone with weirdly skinny ankles and calves. When i laced them the tongue of the boot doesn’t lay quite right and doesn’t cover my leg towards the top. There is a very small piece of leather between the zip and the laces so not a lot of room. I’m so bummed because the boots are a masterpiece otherwise

Read the reviews—it won’t zip
I wish I read the reviews before I purchased these. I was swayed by the workmanship of these boots. The leather is beautiful and the lambswool is plush. But yikes—they truly don’t zip when laced.

Great, classic boots
Love these boots. Was concerned about the size based on other reviews but no issues with them -- tie the laces to the ankle size you need/want and then use the zipper for quickly getting on and off.
