Love all the pockets!
Wore this jacket on a 7 day horse back riding trip across Iceland. Typically 8-10 hours each day. It rained everyday, cool temps and windy. I stayed dry and warm. When the sun came out, others got overheated, but I could unzip the underarm zippers and minimized sweating. I also used the waist band snaps and could unzip without the jacket flapping around when riding at speed. Loved all the pockets and used every one! Especially liked having two chest pockets depending on wanting to grab items with my left or right hand. Loved all the interior pockets for extra protection of important items against the wet. I typically wore a fleece jacket under for warmth. I’m 5’ and 110 lbs and bought the small. It was a toss up on fit, I didn’t want the bulky fit of a medium but it was a little snug (but doable) with all the layers in a small. Size was perfect with just base layer and shirt. Extra fleece made it a little snug but never thought about it once I got riding. The hood did a good job of staying up and keeping my helmet dry also once I figured out the correct pull of the strings. Adjustable Velcro at the wrists was perfect and I loved the extra stretchy material inside the cuffs. So many cool features on this coat but most critical was it proved to be waterproof!

Almost perfect fit
I missed my military goretex jacket, which I gave to the base thrift shop when I retired (it was camouflage-yuck, & a men’s jacket that almost cam to my knees!). I was thrilled when I saw this on sale. I purchased a petite large since I read reviews recommending to order a size up (normally a petite medium). It fit perfectly through the body but the sleeves were really long. I rolled both sleeves inward two cuff lengths and it’s much better now (like I did for my camouflaged one - LOL). I’m looking forward to wearing it for shoveling snow, hiking, & the wacky Colorado windy days.

Way too stiff and crunchy!!
Awful material. It may be Gore-tex and waterproof, but it's stiff, noisy, and uncomfortable to wear. Why can't LLBean make a ski jacket out of the H2Ooff material used in one of their other jackets? The only problem with the H2Ooff jackets are a lack of zippered pockets—they have everything else you'd want, including a 2-way zipper. This jacket is headed right back to LLBean. Believe the reviews that tell you how stiff and crunchy the material is!!

Like the red color and fit.
Like the color and fit. It is not a soft or forgiving material. I'm having trouble getting the collar and hood to remain down and not stick up. The collar in particular rubs my face. Lots of pickets. I purchased a Petite M. Can't find many ski jackets in a petite. I am 5'2" and weign 130 lbs.

Difficult zipper
Hard to get the double zipper to line up. Requires taking off gloves. Was hoping it just needed a few wearings to get everything worked in, but not case.
Price dropped $40.00 a day after it arrived. I was refunded only $34.00!

Happy with Jacket, but Expensive
I think this jacket will serve the purpose as a weather proof layer. It fits very well and has great range of movement. It is expensive, typical for goretex - and the fact it’s just a shell, requiring additional (expensive) insulating layers in my very cold climate, adds to the price. Love the poppy color.
