Excellent Ski Jacket!
Wore this all last season. Love the color. Love all the pockets. NEVER had an issue where the scanner didn't read my pass. Perfect wind protection. Hood goes over helmet when needed. Could not love this jacket more!

GoreTex Propatroller Jacket Wm's Petite
A very nice jacket. The price is justified because of the Gore Tex. Loved the color! Ordered the XS Petite. Still too large for me. I wish you offered more garments in the Petite XXS. I am 5'2" & around 98lbs. (43year Bean Girl)

Petite Ski Shell
Thank you LLBean for petite outwear! This fits perfectly. Other ski jacket waistlines fall at my hips and the fit is less than great. Love all the pockets in the right places and have already used while skiing for the past 3 days. I had an older LLBean shell that was not Gortex and because it didn't breathe I had to purchase a different brand. I was excited when LLBean advertised the petite Gortex shell. This one is better than the previous one I owned but still does not breathe as well as other brands thus creating some condensation inside. The hood is very generously sized. I would prefer a closer fit around the neck as I ski during all kinds of weather and the large neck opening does not keep out all rain, snow , wind etc. The petite fit though is definitely worth some of the short comings. I would recommend more colors in the future as black is not very noticeable in the woods and we are not all "pink" fans. All in all it gets the job done with a great fit.

Serious outer layer
First, let me say I am so appreciative that Bean's offers petite sizes! And that I love the seriousness of this jacket. Not a drop of water or breath of air can penetrate this shell. The hood covers your helmet right. The zippers are sized properly. The pockets make sense. There's only one thing that's a problem for me: the collar. The material nearest your neck and chin is stiff and abrasive (some have said the Gore-Tex sounds like you're wearing a potato chip bag and I can't disagree), and it's just plain uncomfortable. So be ready to wear a neck gaitor or balaclava to make this jacket comfy. Other than that, it is a 5 start piece of equipment (and I love the blue zippers!). Leslie from Vermont

Simply the best
By far the best coat I have ever owned. Multi-purpose. Blocks wind, rain, great in the snow, perfect fit and the color (poppy) is beautiful! I have worn layers underneath and sometimes on its own. I have used this snowshoeing, hiking, atving, walking my dog, running errands...Thank you LL Bean!

Good quality, poor fit
Quality was very good but the fit was poor. I am 5'1" tall, 130#. I bought the petite M. Sleeves were several inches too long even with a jacket underneath. Hips were okay with just jeans but with ski pants or warm hacket were too snug.

Just what I needed
I purchased this jacket for my trip to Antarctica. It was wind proof and water proof just what I needed. It’s not to bulky and you can wear your layers underneath it. I was fine with just one layer underneath.

Poppy jacket
I bought this jacket to layer up when snow shoeing/hiking in Wisconsin winters. Love it!! Also wore it to Iceland in March-kept the cold winds out. Love the color, just wish logo for LLBean was not so noticeable on the left sleeve-love LLBean, but would rather promote a little more subdued!

Glad I finally bought this
Beautifully made and true to size You might want to go up a size if wearing bulky layers.

Poppy shell Perfection -Greatest customer service!
I debated on ordering this coat but I am glad I did. The petite fit is great- I don't have to roll the sleeves (5'3, 135, ordered PS). The hood fits over a helmet and the multiple drawstrings allow for a snugger fit with no helmet. The hood even synched is a little large but I adjusted. I get lots of compliments on the poppy color. The first jacket came with a tear in the inside. LL BEAN sent me a new one at no cost! Great customer service!!!

Loving this Jacket!
I really like the style of this jacket, especially the generous amount of pockets. The first jacket was too small, probably because it is slightly fitted, so I returned it to my local LL Bean store and ordered the next size up, which fits perfectly. I usually wear a size Medium Petite but ended up with the Large Petite and I love it!

Very small
This could be a great jacket, but I am a solid size 2x at L.L. Bean. This jacket was at least two sizes smaller than a 2X.

Great jacket!
Even though the jacket is a little pricey, it's the best investment I've made.

Sounds like paper bag, roomy for layers and pack
Medium was a bit baggy in the arms, which would be good for layering and carrying a pack. They color was more berry then poppy. This is the loudest Gor-Tex item I have ever experienced—it sounds like a paper bag.

Finally, a high-end technical shell for plus size
Phenomenal shell that protects and looks good! Runs small so I definitely had to size up.

Ordered the wrong item!
It has too many bells and whistles - I ordered the wrong jacket - was looking for a basic 3L Gore Tex shell.

Sounds like a paper bag, not bright poppy
Loudest Gortex product I have ever experienced. Medium runs a tad big. The color is not as bright as it appears online, it is more berry then poppy. The features of the coat are outstanding. I am returning the item because it is too noisy and not the bright color I am looking for to standout in snow and low visibility conditions. All of LL Beans jackets are rather subdue in color. Please brighten it up to help with visibility outside.

Fantastic Gore-Tex Jacket!
Although normally a women's large, I bought an XL to ensure ease of layering. It still feels shapely while giving me extra length and room in the chest and shoulders. I love the lightweight but sturdy feel of the Gore-tex. I love its expedition, mountain-friendly, features: underarm TWO-WAY ZIPS, many zippered pockets for storing gear, inner snow skirt, adjustable hood in several places. It drapes or hangs nicely without binding or hindering my gait. The sleeves slide naturally over my gloves, thus sealing out the weather. So pleased with its quality and color (which is true to the website picture).

I love this jacket! Everything I wanted and more!
I have been searching for a 3L shell ski jacket for a reasonable price for a long time. I ski in the cascade mountains of the PNW and need bombproof waterproofing, and wind protection, powderskirt, good pockets etc.I also need it to look good, in a fun color and not cost $700-$800. After returning 5 other brands this is it! Skied in wet windy conditions today and no weather got past the seams or zippers. Stayed dry and kept the wind out, and the hood fit great over my helmet.Loved all the pockets and their locations. The poppy color is lovely, not too bright, but against the snow it really popped, got a lot of compliments. Be aware this is heavy duty fabric and somewhat crinkly and noisy at first, but that is what makes it what it is. I am sure a few times wearing it and that will go away.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
I was so looking forward to receiving this jacket. I needed something waterproof versus water resistant. I sent the jacket back immediately. It is very loud, crunchy, and stiff. Very uncomfortable to wear. The price does not make sense for me either. Very, very disappointing.

Beautifully Made, Rugged but Lightweight
Well-constructed Gore-Tex jacket that fits without being too heavy or constricting. Good length for winter coverage and nice features with plenty of pockets. The hood, while able to accommodate a helmet, has adjustments for wearing without a helmet, and provides thorough protection while not dropping down over my eyes. I ordered a size up for layering.

Women’s Gortex Pro Patroller Jacket holds up!
I purchased the Women’s Gortex Pro Patroller jacket to protect me from the elements when I’m hiking, especially above treeline. I use it as the outer layer over my 850 Down L.L.Bean puffy and I am absolutely thrilled with how the gear held up in the windy freezing temperatures while snowshoeing! The pit zips are a must have feature and the multiple pockets are handy, the hood has three ways to cinch it to make a perfect fit. Absolutely love this jacket!

So small
So disappointed. My husband asked if it was a new coat for our young child (not a large adult), that is how off the sizing is. Runs insanely small. Also zero insulation. Not worth the money

Sized Without Room For Layering
I bought this to layer over my ultralight 850 down hooded jacket. The shell is slightly fitted and the fit over the down jacket is snug. I wish there was a little room. You may want to size up on the shell if you plan to layer. I didn't size up and I'll keep both jackets in the same size. The mesh pocket inside is not big enough for two gloves. I wish instead of the powder skirt there was a large mesh pocket. The waterproof two-way zipper is tight however it works well. The shell came today so I haven't had a chance to try it but it looks ideal for extreme conditions if layered adequately. Overall I'm happy with it and recommend this shell/jacket.
