A lot of support
The shoes fit well to size and are comfortable. They fit snug and contour to your foot with time. They provide very good stability and support and good to wear in the rain. The soles are firm but expect them to become more flexible and softer with additional wear.

OK but LL Bean logo on the insole ruined my socks
I cannot velieve that I am the only person to mention this in a review (can't find anyone else that has experienced this), but after wearing the shoes for 4 hours, the ink they use to put the LL Bean logo on the top of the insole bled all over my white socks. Tried washing it out but it is permanent. I am not a real stink foot either. Don't have some hyper-secretory foot issue. Bummer...and they were Bean socks too--not cheap. Other than that, the shoes are fine. Not the most flexible shoes but definetly sturdy.
