Well fitting Leather gloves at last
I initially ordered a men's small and one medium for my husband and I. Both were too big, so I returned them and reorderd . The two pair of women's medium fit us each. It is a little hard getting them on at the wrist, but otherwise they fit well. I assume the wrist will be fine once they are worn a few times. They seem well made and are true to the standard size guide for gloves. They are longer at the wrist than most women's, for which I am very glad as most women's gloves are too short and leave the wrist exposed. The fingers are just right. I love the leather.

Husband approved!
Purchased for husbands Christmas gift, he enjoys them! I went up a size so he can wear simple cotton or wool gloves underneath in colder weather, these are great work gloves.

Best Winter Gloves I have found.
After struggling to find great quality winter gloves that fit, these gloves are awesome. The XL fits perfect (index fingers 3.75 inches long, hand width at the knuckles of 9 inches). The leather is soft but beefy and the lining is flexible but substantial. Very warm and functional. Love these and may order another pair to keep as a spare.

Deerskin gloves? Maybe not.
I was given a pair of LL Bean's deerskin gloves a year ago as a holiday gift. They were supple and smooth and smelled like leather. Sadly I lost that pair and quietly ordered a replacement pair of the same LL Bean deerskin gloves. The gloves came and they look the same and fit the same. But the similarities end there. They do not smell like leather, they are not supple like leather, they are not soft like leather, and when I thwack them together they don't sound like leather. I have not taken them in to a leather store for a professional look-see, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get a pair of deerskin leather gloves, but got a fakey knock-off leather-like material instead.
I am not happy with this purchase.
They will keep my hands warmer than no gloves, but I suspect they'll start to peel and degrade after a season of use.
