Our designers took our customer-favorite all-weather slip-ons and made them better than ever before. They added a supremely cushioned B-Bound® midsole for more comfort, and a luggier VertiGrip outsole for improved traction in foul conditions. What hasn't changed is the tough-as-nails durability our Storm Chasers are known for.

Clunky and Awkward
I have been wearing the Storm Chaser 5 for many years. Unfortunately I didn’t really pick up on the changes made to the Storm Chaser 6 until after I received them. I wear a size 8 regular width. I had to send the first pair back for an 8 Wide because I couldn’t stand how narrow the regular was on my foot. I wore these one time and put them in the closet. They are clunky and I don’t like the way the soul flares out. The treads flare out so much I found them awkward. I was able to locate 2 pairs of the old Storm Chaser 5 that will get me through if and until the style changes again.

“New” StormChaser shoes - Get used to “disappoint”
I bought these for wife in Nov 2023, and tried to re-order for her Birthday this week. They discontinued the original & changed the design, replacing the Vibrum Artic Grip sole, with a new “Vertigrip” sole. They are both Size- 9M, but the
Newer version is too tight to wear.
They said to order true to size, but the toe area is narrower & don’t fit lengthwise. They also removed the nice grip loops on the tongue area, and lowered the price.
By not fitting, I’ll be returning them, because there are no 1/2-sizes, and they are now sold-out of the Black color.
So we are out a birthday gift for her, & wasted time going thru this exercise (again). These products are imported, and often limited supply, colors, sizes, Quality.
We almost can’t spend our Bean Bucks, for one reason or another. You place an order, and they send you a survey, signed by someone “who really cares”… We fill out the survey, noting the issues of poor quality, unavailability, etc - but have experienced disappointment multiple times, so I am frustrated (apparently they are not listening). It’s the end of a 40-year run for us.

Shoehorn needed
These shoes are great for wet sloppy weather BUT I need a shoehorn to put them on. That means I can’t wear them anywhere where I need to slip them off and then back on unless I bring a shoehorn. A bit inconvenient.

Not what I expected
These boots were shorter than my other LLBean boots that are the same size. I compared them to each other and even though they were the same size, the new ones were smaller. Very odd.
