Rated 2 out of 5 by MI2FLGirl from Warm but So huge I ordered this to use on a winter trip to the U.P. of Michigan. I'm a small framed lady but thought a 4 would do the trick, while still leaving extra room for warmth beneath. No XS available so I ordered a small. But wow, it's so large on me it looks quite ridiculous, I could fit another human inside. Like the prior reviewer, it's difficult to tell if there are any curves to it, it's very boxy looking. It will have to go back, and with no XS to select, I will have to look elsewhere for the necessary coat for the journey. For reference, I am 5'2", 112 lbs but still fairly well busted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DogAgilityMom from Horrible hood I should have read the features and looked at all the pictures more carefully. I never would have purchased this and I will be returning it. Pros: fit....lining...pockets...knit cuffs...love the blue color. Cons: fabric is very loud/crinkly. Hood is designed for use with a helmet. It is not appropriate for use without a helmet. It is huge and the adjustment is the poorest design ever. BEAN has been using this design for years and they need to go back to the drawing board. A simple velcro tab adjustment works 1000 times better than this. This is the primary reason I'm returning this. Zipper is not 2 way! Really? How cheap is that! Very sad overall!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Katwf575 from Not the warmest February 7, 2018 I bought this coat because it was listed under the warmest. I have to say if you use multiple layers under it, the coat does provide a good amount of Warmth. But for every day wear without layering I definitely can feel the chill walking outside. Temperatures outside have been as low as 17° and I find I have to layer in order to remain warm even when the temperature is 30°. the hood is large and I could not get a good fit even while adjusting it. I miss the my old llbean that Had worn out.unfortunately the no longer carried that one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by xenaskm from Good Jacket The jacket is warm, but not as warm as I expected it would be based on the warmth rating. It is rated as warmest and I can feel the cold through the jacket, especially in the arms. It is warmer when I wear a sweater with it. Also, I wish it had hand warmer pockets, the jacket is just a tad too long for me to be able to rest my hands in the pockets comfortably and keep them warm. I do like the outside pocket on the chest, great place to keep your phone. It also has a big inside pocket with a cloth for wiping eyeglasses, comes in very handy. Overall, a good jacket I would recommend to a friend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JoyceinAZ from Only tw things I would change... Based on reviews I was pretty sure this was the jacket I wanted for cold winters in Western PA. I was transitioning from a short, pack-able down jacket which I have really liked, but needed something longer and warmer while walking the dog and running errands. I was in a quandary about the size; ordered both large and medium. It is generous and I returned the large. Medium is fine fit for my 5'4" 150 lb body. It's toasty warm with a few features I have not used yet(inside pockets.) I appreciate the high collar (blocks the wind) and deep hood. I would like the zipper to have the bottom up option for driving, and for it to zip at the neck a little more easily - I always struggle with the last two or three inches. Once tucked in, oh so nice and warm!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GrannyinPA from Great Jacket Warm, light weight, fits my long arms. I can wear a hoodie under the coat comfortably. Most jackets are made for pencil thin women. I wanted a jacket I could layer if the weather called for it. I am in the mountains of western PA and yesterday it was about 10 degrees in the afternoon. I was out shopping and was able to wear a bulky hoodie under the jacket. The jacket has Velcro at the wrists, an adjustable elastic draw string at the bottom, and adjustable elastic in the hood. The roomy hood has a light weight quilted lining which I had over my hoodie. I am very pleased. I bought a large but I have plenty of room. I am about 5'4" and 133 lbs. I am also an active senior citizen and like comfortable clothing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kili from not that warm for extreme cold I bought this ski jacket for it advertised that it retained warmth up to -35 degrees F. It has been a very cold, snowy and windy winter up in the Colorado Mountains and my other ski jacket was not warm enough so I bought this so I could be warm. Well this jacket does not live up to its hype. I was cold in minus 15 degrees wind chill despite having 5 layers underneath including a down 850 LL Bean jacket and had to go home earlier than I wanted to. I haven't sent this jacket back because I will give it another try. I used it in a snow storm when I went snowshoeing and it did keep me dry so that is a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Babki1 from Perfect Finally. A coat that is cut bigger! Too many are cut close and you just can't wear anything bulky under them let alone do outside chores. DON'T change it and cut it closer! List the exact measurements for this coat and other garments so people know how to order. I can't stand zipping up a coat and feeling like a I'm in a sausage casing! Do this comfortable generous cut with more of you're items!!!
