Perfect for layering
It’s light but warm and fits well.Calif weather is usually moderate but can get icy and this jacket works well for chilly weather and is great for layering since it’s not bulky.

Down Sweater Jacket is an everyday winner!
The L.L. Bean down sweater jacket is incredibly versitile! I am often cold, even in the house. But this jacket has kept me warm and comfortable with a wonderful feeling of weightlessness throughout late fall. It is my favorite jacket, whether I am walking on a damp, windy day, or sitting outside with friends.

Awesome Jacket
So light, so warm, so comfortable. This jacket is great. I layered with a fleece when it was in the 40’s and got too warm. I can’t wait to Sue it this winter for all my outdoor activities. It lives really well and is windproof. Great for hiking, biking or whatever outdoor fun is to be had :)

Great winter hiking jacket
This jacket is the perfect weight, perfect length, the hood is secure and doesn't fall off like many do, and the two-tone color is great. I was looking for a warm but lightweight winter hiking jacket and this fits the bill perfectly.

better than I had expected
I have had the thicker version of this without the hood for years, I wanted something a bit lighter for the in between seasons that was also packable for summer camping. This is a winner. It's so comfortable I find myself tossing it on in the house if I feel cold. Out walking on a windy spring day, I could just pop the hood over my ball cap when the wind felt too brisk. The pockets are deep so your items stay put and/or your hands are cozy. I almost forgot to mention that it is also very flattering. Worth every penny for the use I expect to get out of this
