Not really "skinny" jeans; quite stretchy
The jeans are lightweight and somewhat translucent. Shirttails are visible when tucked in to the very white material. They aren't particularly "skinny" jeans, more what I'd consider somewhat form-fitting. If you want something to minimize a belly, these don't do it because they have a lot of stretch. The photos of the jeans make them appear much more of a skinny leg. They are looser than they look, at least on me. They're kind of a relaxed fit. I ordered my usual size 10, and maybe a size 8 would be more in line with the pictures. I had read a number of reviews that said they ran small, but that was not my experience. The pockets are great, nice and deep. There is no Bean label on the back, which was disappointing because a label adds interest to the jeans and keeps them from looking generic.With the stretch, they're very comfortable. I'm considering ordering an 8 to see what fits best for me, which would be sizing down rather than up as some reviewers recommended. They're loose enough that I can tug the high waist down to a mid-rise fit, but that wasn't what I was expecting. If you're looking for jeans that have a structured waist and "hold in" the belly, these are not for you. They stretch to accommodate what you've got. I usually buy 100% cotton size 10 blue jeans, and these don't compare to that structure. All that being said, it's hard to find flattering white jeans, and these look pretty good overall. I would recommend them with these caveats.

Fits perfect
Ordered in white and the size 6 medium tall fits perfect. This is my usual size. I am 138 lbs, 5'7" and athletic build. So pleased the LL Bean ships to Hawaii and products are reasonably priced.

Close to what you would expect for white jeans
These jeans fit nearly close to the size expected (size 2 petite) but the legs are far too long for a petite person. Women who are 5 foot tall (and under) cannot waer jeans that are 28 inches long without paying to have them hemmed (and who hems jeans???)

Love the fit!
