Rated 5 out of 5 by FrenchKiss1 from Comfortable, light weight flannel, good fit! I have an LL Bean shirt that I bought 15 years ago in a size 12. I gained 10 pounds since then so I bought a 14. It fits just loose enough to give ample flex room through the shoulders and arm length for operating a big camera that mounts on a tripod stand. It has a flannel texture but is a lighter weight than the Scotch flannels. After washing and drying with my husband's office shirts, I am happy to say it has not shrunk and comes out of the dryer looking pretty good. I "finger press" the pocket flaps and it's good to go. The print lends itself to casual use, but it could be ironed if you like shirts to look "crisp."

Rated 5 out of 5 by babashopper from Lovely, Not Your Everyday Plaid Flannel Shirt The golden yellow and rust-colored ducks look perfectly highlighted against the dark, dark gray background, and the fabric couldn't be softer or nicer. I'm 5' 2" tall, 112 lbs., and the size 6 fits fine. The shoulder seams hit right where they should and the sleeves, surprisingly, considering my height, are not too long. To be completely honest, I'm probably a little partial to this shirt because my last name means drake; hence, I'm drawn to everything "ducky." Still, if you want a cozy, comfy, unique flannel shirt, this one should definitely be considered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yancey from best of both worlds - office flannel I love the lightweight flannel that looks more like a office buttondown than an out-chopping-wood flannel (both necessary in life tho). The duck print and colors are somehow subtle yet striking. The fabric is comfortable and warm with no unwanted bulk, so it's easy to layer over! Looks quite classy with a blazer/jacket. The sizing and fit of the Signature line works so much better for me than traditional Bean fits. I'm a slender 5'7" topping out under 110 and the size 0 is perfect. Form fitting but not at all tight!

Rated 3 out of 5 by BPN18 from Nice fabric, but small in shoulders and bust The pheasant print is very appealing, so I was disappointed to find that the shirt runs really small in the shoulders and bust. I have other LLBean shirts (some of which I've had for 5+ years) that fit just fine. I'm running into similar problems with other LLBean items - sizes are inconsistent with the ones I bought years ago and still wear. I can understand that styles change, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to wear a shirt that won't allow any shoulder movement. I would try ordering a size larger, but in this shirt there isn't an option above Large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rubies from Vintage Pheasant Pattern Flannel Shirt I purchased this flannel shirt in a large knowing that the slim sizing of the signature line might be an issue, but I loved the vintage pheasant pattern so much that I took the chance. I planned to wear it with one of my Double L zip cardigans or a sweater vest, but as expected, it ran slim in the bust and waist, and I knew after one wash it would be too tight. Can you tell me why this shirt is only allowed to be worn by xxs (size 0) through large (size 12), but not by xl (size 14) women? Please add the xl size to this shirt so it can be enjoyed by everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LKathy from Nice enough shirt, not for me. Since my last purchase of an L.L. Bean flannel shirt was boxy, I chose this thinking that the slimmer fit would be better for me. The body portion is better for me but the shoulders are tight. Any movement of my arms, whether bending at the elbow or just reaching an arm forward, puts much strain across the back yoke. This is uncomfortable and makes me concerned that it might eventually open the seam. I have not washed the shirt, only tried it on, so I cannot speak to whether or how much it might shrink.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tmcfar02910 from Nice shirt made for small busted women. I have a large 40d bust and I tried on a size 16 and there was major button gap happening with this shirt. If they made a size 18, it would have fit my chest and I would have purchased this. I'm finding the sizing is off at LL Bean lately by 1 size and you have to go the next size up if your body is anything but flat. It is really defeating when you have to try on a 16 for your chest and it still doesn't fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by babashopper from A Quality, Sophisticated Flannel Shirt I had to look through my L.L. Bean 2019 Fall Catalogue several times before realizing that this shirt was a bird print (probably all waterfowl) and not a camouflage print. Once I realized what the print was, it immediately struck me as rather Escher-esque. Since I like both Escher designs and waterfowl, I ordered it. The colors and print are even prettier in person than online or in the catalogue. I knocked off one star from this review for three reasons. First, these women's Signature lightweight flannel shirts used to come in exact sizes (2,4,6,8, etc.). Now they only come in ballpark sizes (small, medium, large, etc.). My older shirts, similar to this one, in size 6, fit a tad better than this newer one in size small (size 6-8). Secondly, I really wish that some of the women's Signature line came in petites, as they originally did. Finally, having small wrists, I appreciate shirts of this style having two buttons at the cuff instead of only one, as this shirt has.
