Rated 1 out of 5 by abuela69 from Shrunk I tried this top on when I received it and it fit perfectly. I followed washing instructions for cold water and low temp dry. I used the extra low temp on my dryer. When I got it out of the dryer I could tell immediately that it had shrunk. I tried it on again and it looked short and terrible. I bought a Pima cotton tank top from L.L. Bean 10 or 15 years ago and it still looks almost new. No shrinkage and it hangs to my hips and looks very nice. I just think the quality of these Pima cotton tops has gone downhill over the years. I really hate it when clothes shrink after you have bought the correct size and follow washing instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wildfushcia from Great Tee I've had this tee through 3 washings & couldn't be happier. I ordered the white, and it's substantial and not see through. I've washed it on both cold & warm, dried it on delicate and medium, and it comes out looking great. The scoop neck is flattering yet narrow enough so bra straps don't show. I'm 5'6" and the medium is hip length on me. It's perhaps a little generously sized, but I think the small would fit more snugly than I want. I'm 126 lbs and a 36D. Yes, it's a boxy fit, but in all fairness, this is described as a tee, not fitted or shaped. I'm 67, and this is a wonderful shirt for those of us whose upper arms are no longer a thing of beauty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravelBugofOregon from So Flattering! I think I have about 6 or 7 of these which I've collected over the past year and a half and am always alert for new colors as they become available. They pair wonderfully with skirts, especially, but also pants, highlighting best features and discretely covering up, er.... less desirable features some of us more mature gals inherit-- especially the elbow length sleeves! The open neckline is cool and comfortable but also discreetly proportioned. The fabric readily releases incidental stains with pre-wash treatment applications, so they last and last. When I put one of these on, my mirror is my friend! Thanks, all you fine folks in Freeport!

Rated 1 out of 5 by AndreaFloridaLLBean from Down with garish ugly colors for large sizes Please consider offering a greater variety of more subtle, elegant, muted colors for the larger women's clothing. Anything that's in that category is usually sold out, leaving only the flourescent garish colors or having to wait for backorders. Also, please consider making your feminine looking clothing in realistic sizes. Not everyone is aged 17-30, flat-chested and straight hipped. A lot of your prettier clothing is only made in small sizes. Think about using more realistic models. L. L. Bean hasn't changed their marketing in the years that I've been alive and purchasing your products. I have grown. So should you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by lissy4real from Beautiful Colors, Bad Fit I took careful measurements before ordering to avoid the hassle of exchanges and returns. I ordered a size large and it absolutely swallowed me - huge under the arms, boxy, drooping neckline, very unflattering. Which was odd because other LLBean large tops have fit me great. After reading other customers' reviews I tried washing and drying it and yes, it did shrink and fit much better everywhere EXCEPT the length - it shrunk a good 2 inches! I'm only 4'11" so I can't imagine a taller person being able to wear this shirt after washing it. Returning. On the plus side: the material is incredibly soft and seemed sturdy, and the colors were vibrant and gorgeous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EllieinHuntsburg from Love This Shirt All Summer Long! This is a great shirt for summer. I have it in four colors and am about to order 2 more. I wear it with white capris almost exclusively and with the right accessories, I am ready to go. The fabric is soft and cool in warm, humid weather. I find it cooler than most tank tops I own and definitely cooler than any blends. I put it in the dryer until it is just slightly damp, smooth it out with my hands and put it on a hanger. None of my shirts have ever seen an iron. YAY!! The scoop is perfect for the larger style necklaces being worn this summer and the sleeves are just the right length for this grandma. Thanks, LL Bean, for a superior product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by VikingMama from Shrinks... I bought this t-shirt and, like so many other shirts from LLBean that I have bought in the past couple of years, it shrank so much after the first washing that I was unable to wear it. It mainly shrank in length, going from high hip-length to barely below the belly button. It's a shame because it is a very nice style and the selection of available colors is wonderful. I wish LLBean could start producing cotton tops that don't shrink so readily and are also a little longer to begin with. I am probably not the only person over 40 who would appreciate having a top that comes down lower than my waistband! :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by JDinWA from t-shirt that needs ironing I like the fit of this shirt and I like the weight of the fabric (did not find it too sheer). I bought several of these at one time and, when they arrived, they smelled, apparently from the plastic. So after making sure that they fit okay, I tossed them in the washer. I have never seen t-shirts come out of the dryer so wrinkled! They were the only items in the dryer (5 t-shirts), and were immediately taken out and put on a hanger. See photo below. They will all have to be ironed. It's a nice shirt, but I would never have bought them if I'd known they would require ironing. T-shirts just shouldn't need that much upkeep. .
