almost perfect
This coat is very comfortable and warm. I like everything about it. The only limitation is that the pockets are not very deep - for a coat made for cold weather, this surprised me. Other than the depth, I appreciate the extra zipped compartments within the pockets - just wish they were deeper!

Keeps me warm
I have coats for 40 degrees and for 10 below -- I needed one that could fill in the gap when I don't really need the one that keeps me warm but goes down to my knees and barely lets me bend my elbows. This is the perfect coat for that gap. It's very warm - I'm fine for short stints in 10 or 15 degree weather and much longer stints in 25-35. It's lightweight and easy to move in (I cannot believe how many coats this length and longer do not have a 2-way zipper. This one does). I have the light grey color and it's good looking and versatile. It seems to run true to size -- I'm generally sort of a medium-and-a-half and in the large this fits great with plenty of room for layering. super happy with this purchase.

Hood would not stay attached with snaps
I bought this in black last year...and love it. So this year bought one for my daughter who is in college in Pullman WA. The hood will not stay on, so she is constantly having to snap it back on. so bummer.

Very warm coat
I really like the coat for its warmth since we’ve had such cold weather. The double pockets were unexpected and are sometimes clumsy to use with heavy winter gloves. I would have liked another pocket that would hold my phone. I’m not sure how the rawhide pull tabs will survive over time and I think they detract from the look of the coat.

I wanted to love this coat
The coat was just what I wanted, except for the hood. It was HUGE!! There is no way I could put the hood on and still see where I was walking. I need a hood that is a normal size, as it gets windy here and I don't like the wind on my head. I would not recommend this coat unless you have a huge head.

Best winter coat I have ever owned!!
Best winter jacket I have ever owned! Incredibly warm even in 0 degree temperatures. Comfortable and still stylish. Not too puffy and nice material allowing flexibility to move. The length is perfect, hitting upper to mid thigh ( I am 5’5”). I also like the detachable hood. I did go one size up in case I wanted to wear a bulky sweater or vest under but if you don’t plan on that, then the coat is TTS. I have a few different coats from LL Bean but this one is my favorite.

All great, except the zipper and snaps
The zipper is not easily zipped. It takes careful and slow concentration to get it all lined up correctly, and, the snaps require using both hands and are not easily snapped. Otherwise than that, I love it.

Just right parka
I've been searching for the right parka since end of last winter. I wanted one for walking on colder, windier days that would still allow freedom of movement and cover my butt. I appreciate the removal hood, two-way zipper, and multiple zippered pockets. Only wore it once so far but know it will serve my needs when the thermometer gets well below freezing.
