Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

Fits well and looks great. I have gotten alot of compliments on it. Only wish pockets were larger and had an inside pocket or two.

This is the third Adirondack jacket I have purchased over the years. They are workhorses for this active gardener! I only wish they had more of an A line for a better fit at my hips. If I get a size larger, I am swimming in it at the shoulders. But I love this jacket and the price point is affordable.

Pockets too small.
I love the jacket. The fit is great. Works well over a sweater. It is comfortable. It's hard to wear for an outing because the pockets are too small. I don't feel that anything put in them Is secure. It seems like my keys could fall out and my phone doesn't fit st all.

Good for shorter ladies
I love this coat, for all the reasons other folks mentioned. Plus I was especially thrilled to find that the Petite XL fit is perfect for 5'2" me -- because I can roll up the sleeves and not look sloppy, because the cuffs are fully lined with the same corduroy as the collar.

What I Wanted
The size algorithm urged me to get an XL, but I purchased an L, which was the right decision. The coat is sturdy, windproof, and probably pretty rain resistant (it hasn't been tested yet). I like the size and depth of the front pockets and the hand warmer pockets. It should be a very useful coat.

Almost perfect
Nice coat but the fabric feels bit stiff and heavy. Purchased same coat years ago and finally wore it out. My old barn coat was softer, lighter and a slightly lighter color; I was hoping to get another one exactly like it.
