Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

Great coat, but it runs Large!
Perfect light coat. 5'10 / 165lbs / 40C. Ordered S, M & L. Kept the Small for a more fitted look. If you plan to wear heavy sweaters or hoodies, go with the Medium. The Large (my normal size in everything LOL) was huge! Should have known better since I've had the tan one with the thermal lining (for years) and returned it for a Medium and could still wear with heavy layers for working outdoors.

Wife loves it!
My wife loves her Barn Coat! It fits well, has accurate sizing, and seems well-made. She likes the feel, likes the lining, and the slight taper of the coat. She says it keeps her warm and loves the extra pockets. It was a great purchase.

Applause for the Pockets
I love the big, lower button-flap pockets, perfect for securely carrying phone/wallet/keys. AND the small, higher hand-warmer pockets, oh so comfortable.

In love with my new 'shell'!
I am in love. I had been eyeballing this jacket for years and finally got one! I did think the flannel would be a little heavier, but it's working out great pretty much as a 'shell' until deep winter sets in. I got a size up (3x) so that I can layer underneath and it's perfect. It was breezy, flurrying, and 35' yesterday and I wore a puffy underneath and was happy as a clam walking around the neighborhood.
