I bought two pairs last fall and loved them. They quickly became my favorite jeans. They are comfortable and look good.
However, I have lost weight and they had become too large. I tried shrinking them, with no real luck. When I ordered two more in a smaller size, I didn't pay attention and ordered regulars, not medium tall, which I need. The regulars were ok, same pants, just short in the waist. Not a problem, I returned the mediums and ordered the medium talls. However, the jeans I received the second time are made out of lighter-weight denim and do NOT have the same fit. I realized that I had run into this before with Bean years ago. Back then, I stopped shopping at L.L.Bean for years because of it. The last time the lighter-weight material shrank a full size. I am keeping this second order just because I hate the hassle of returning pants. I can use them for gardening, etc. However, I am disappointed. They are not the same denim and not the same fit.
I do not understand why there is such an inconsistency within the same product - different factories?

The gold standard in jeans
I have rated several of this style in jeans, colored pants, corduroy pants. They are all wonderful. Fit is perfect; comfort is perfect. I wear a women’s size instead of a petite & am very happy with the leg length (around my ankle). I probably have about 7 pairs of this style. Recently I transitioned from a size 14 to a size 12 due
to some weight loss. Both sizes fit perfect. I really like the wide leg and high waist—pure comfort.
