My absolute favorite lightweight jacket ever.
I had one of these that I bought new 5-6 years ago and it needed to be retired so I was happy to see they still make them. It's stylish , comfortable and lightweight yet still warm . It is water resistant, not proof but that's all I need tbh. I hope L.L bean continues making these for years to come. I'll buy another in 2-5 years !

Awesome jacket!
I bought this on sale and figured it was on sale for a good reason, but no, it’s a great feeling jacket and for it to be thin it’s actually really warm. My first buy from L.L bean and will 100% buy again!

Please use colors from nature....
I love the mountain classic anorak and need a new one, but am waiting until you can make some in more subdued natural colors -- greens, browns, tans, grays, and combinations, as you have done in the past. I wear the men's large regular. These are great for vacation air travel.

Not rain or wind resistant
Looks nice and fits great. Not AT ALL weather resistant. Material soaks through immediately and does not resist the lightest rain. More for looks than function.

Waist is tight and hood is humungous!
Got this for around the yard when it is a bit damp. The description states it has an adjustable waist, but it's only "adjustable" if it's too big on you. The waist was very tight relative to the body of the jacket (which fit well). Definitely have to wear only over a light layer. The hood, on the other hand, is humungous (like having a tent on my head!). I suppose it will keep me plenty dry...I just won't be able to see where I'm going as it covers down to my nose :o(

Good item.
good item. I gained weight since the last time I bought one of these but since I use the old one often to carry cell phone and such in the pouch....I bought another after 15+ years of using the old one. Drawstrings don't have "stop clips" on them but leather pieces that don't prevent strings from loosening. Overall, still a good item.
