Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyUser from Perfect for Anyone Wearing a Sport Coat or Suit This is the perfect coat for any man wearing a sport or suit jacket. It is insulated, lightweight, waterproof and long enough to cover the entire jacket. The pockets are perfectly designed and complete with waterproof zippers. There are two flap pockets for gloves and two outside lower slash pockets to keep your hands warm. There are two outside waterproof zippered pocket for a cell phone or wallet and an inside zippered pocket that will hold an iPad. This is also the pocket into which you can stow the entire coat for traveling. I have owned several long LL bean down coats, specializing in warmth with lots of bulk and none of the pocket features of this coat. They all will be replaced with this warm, lightweight, packable waterproof coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 808OGG from Warm in Hokkaido I am currently traveling in Hokkaido, Japan. I have had some wind, rain and snow and below freezing temperatures. The coat has kept me warm and dry. It is great for traveling as it is not over stuffed like some other coats. It also stuffs nicely in it own stuff pocket....opening and zipper is a tad too small but manageable with some work and is easily stored in a carryon. The hood is also a bonus as it is insulated with the same material as the coat...nice and warm when it is windy and cold. You will need to layer when it gets really cold...but then...thats what you do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by aspiringangler from So far so good. Light, soft warm and comfy. Definitely waterproof. Had it out in the rain today. I wouldn’t use this for anything active or sporting. Not for skiing or brushing up against trees or brush. The hood won’t fit over a helmet. Perfect commuter type coat. That this coat packs away is remarkable. Great item. I wish it had an inside pocket at the chest. It does have two external chest pockets though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Senior from Poor Fit This is not a long coat -- it is a jacket. Description states it is "just above the knee". It was not even close to the knee -- it barely covered buttocks. Normally wear a medium or large -- but since it said "slightly fitted" I ordered a large. The large was snug -- but if I followed the size guide a medium should have fit. I exchanged the Large Regular for a Tall X-Large. The fit is better but the length still does not come close the knee -- it is about mid-thigh. Because of size issue I do not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Soitgoes from Fits well Fits well, not bulky and comfortable. The jacket is nice and warm that dried quickly after getting wet in a downpour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BenW from Awesome jacket for winter! finally upgraded my jacket from 7 years ago and WOW what a difference. the primaloft material does a great job insulating on cold days. Part of the magic of this jacket is it is wind/waterproof so the "shivers" you get on a cold windy day are no more! The length of this jacket is great too. Its falls 4 inches above my knee but completely covers my backside. The hood is incredibly warm as well. I dont even need a hat when i go out. It also has double zippers, so you can relieve the awkward bunching you typically get with long jackets when you sit down. The fact that it can pack up into a mini pillow sized package is just a great bonus! pockets are abundant and massive. carries everything i could possibly need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanShopper from Performs as Advertised I ordered this coat for its ratings in cold weather, rain/snow, and pack-ability. My first use was this past weekend at a football game - very cold and snowing. My body was never cold or wet (although my legs and feet were). The coat can be rolled into a small ball and put in a bag for travel. Perfect for me! Regarding size, I first ordered an XL but found it to be too small with layers. The XXL was just right for me. I have very broad shoulders. Great job on this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Indy from Great I actually ordered a large-tall due to my height. I have worn the jacket in weather in the high teens and twenties and up. It is a little on the light side, but kept me warm enough in these temps. With a middle layer ( sweater or fleece) I would be comfortable in a little colder weather as well. I intentionally bought the long version and it comes to about my mid-thigh. The sleeves are long enough to come to my wrists which is why I ordered the 'tall' version. I like the pockets, it has both 'drop-in' type and slash front pockets which are quite roomy. The 'only' negative I have with the jacket is that the hood does not have an adjustment strap on the back to keep the front of the hood from coming down over my eyes. However, if I have a knit cap on this seems to keep the hood in a good position. Overall: I am VERY SATISFIED with this coat and would recommend it.
