Rated 5 out of 5 by Navywxguy from Great Cargo Pants! I purchased two pairs of LL Bean Tropic-Weight Cargo Pants with Comfort Waist last year and were so pleased with them that I recently ordered and received two more. They fit just right after the inseam length was shortened and resewn by my spouse due to the correct inseam length vs. waist size not being offered. They are heavy enough that I can wear them here in the Pacific Northwest during our cool, moist winter months and light enough to wear during the summer months and still remain comfortable. I think they are a great buy but then again, we think that all of the products available at LL Bean are great buys. I whole-heartedly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SueBeth from Terrific for a tall woman As a tall woman, it is difficult to find pants that fit... almost impossible to find cargo pants that fit. These men's pants DO FIT women. The secret seems to be the small area on both sides of the waistband that have elastic built in. That seems to accommodate our larger hips/smaller waists well. I have never quite understood how men seem to come in different lengths (inseam lengths#, but women don't. It makes things difficult for those of us who are tall #or short... but it's easier to cut off fabric than to glue it on!) These pants are comfortable and attractive, too. Who could want more? By the way, these are my 3rd and 4th pairs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by HankG from Bring Back Tropic Weight Pants! I can only second another reviewer's request that you bring back the tropic weight pants. I have been wearing these to work for close to 20 years. The last ones I bought are getting worn and frayed, and I don't know what I'm going to do for a replacement. The cargo pants are a little too casual for work, and I almost always bought them in blue and charcoal, so the tropic weight chinos are not an option for me (I don't like the feel of the chino fabric anyway). I've been a customer of L. L. Bean for over 35 years, and this is the first time I feel like you've let me down. That's a great record, but I still would like to have my tropic weight pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jtd001 from Nothing Special The color of these pants is lighter than the image indicates. It's close to well worn jeans medium blue. The top of the thigh area is too wide for my taste. They are cotton but come out of the dryer without significant wrinkles. The pockets on the legs are handy but have buttons to close the tops instead of a zipper or velcro which would have been more convenient. They are lighter weight than typical heavy LL Bean pants but are not at all tropical weight. I'd say they are normal weight or close to Levi cotton pants. Overall, decent pants but nothing special.

Rated 5 out of 5 by handyandy44 from Great for summer wear! I hope the product planers are reading these reviews... I have ten (10) pairs of these in various colors purchased over the last 3-4 years and love then for summer wear. I have purchased both comfort and standard waist. One size up for standard and one down for comfort and they fit perfect. Now here's the rub, the pants only have five belt loops. All good pants, dress or casual should have six or seven loops to insure the belt rides neatly on the hips. I personally will not even purchase blue jeans unless the have 6 or 7 loops. Other than that I love them. Thank you LL Bea.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1Irishboy from Cargo Tents The good news is the quality and finish is excellent. The sizes were correct and God bless comfort waist bands. The shipping can't get better and returns are handled in the same fashion. Not to worry. Now the bad news. It seems all manufactures suffer from the same designers math deficient. If a guy has a 44"- 46" waist that does not mean the legs took the same path. The legs on my cargo pants were big enough to hold two of us. My wife used the description "tents". Literally you could stuff an Elephant leg down them. If I were a rich man I would back a producer that would tailor pants properly and steal everybody's business away overnight. Just a hint L.L.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BaggyBottom1 from I like 'em..Wife Hates them Elastic Waistband, super full cut...Light wait...Much room for future expansion...Whats not to love?...My wife on the other hand...hates them..She will inevtably plot to loose them destroy them or have the cleaners loose them. Being she is in control of the dirty laundry division of my household. I have little or no practicle choice but to watch them dissapear. I cherish my time with these pants as pure comfort. However Im aware of the fact with each passing day I use them the likely hood of them dissapearing into the giant vortex of missing clothes/socks/favorite T shirts increases with geometric progression. As a matter of fact. Im not to sure as to where they are right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FactsRfriendly from Comfort Waist Really very comfortable. The comfort waist concept is the way to go. It is impossible to get every pair of pants exactly the same. The C W takes care of that problem.
