Rated 4 out of 5 by Jjon from Runs small If you order this shoe be aware that it runs small. I normally wear a mens 9 wide. When I ordered this shoe I had a hunch that it would run small. So, I ordered a 9.5 wide and it fit pretty well. My big toe comes right to the end of the shoe. My hunch was based on other shoes I have purchased from LLbean over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eurekapeak from Nice First I'll say that these are very nice shoes. I bought these because I had shoulder surgery and wanted something that I could easily get into "one-handed" so I could get in some walking. I ended up returning them because I probably needed the next size up and by the time I returned and got the bigger size I was able to tie a regular shoe. I also have another pair from LL Bean that are similar that I use as casual dress-up shoes and didn't really need two pairs so similar. They seemed to be very well constructed and are a good looking and comfortable shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike from Exactly what I needed We had just gotten a puppy and with all the frequent trips out to the yard during potty training, wanted something I could throw on quickly that would keep my feet dry in the wet grass. As these are low cut slip-ons, they don't offer tremendous support. My feet slide a bit inside when walking downhill for example, or could roll if not being careful on uneven surfaces. But they're great for what they're designed for. Soles grip really well too during my daily hikes with the dog. My only criticisms is that the color on the toes is already starting to fade, and they're not quite as waterproof as when they were brand new (2 months ago as of this review). Treated with nikwax which helped with the waterproofing. For these reasons, I'd deduct a half-star if that were an option. Otherwise, very happy with these shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Keppler from Sturdy and comfortable I traded in an old pair of LL Bean Comfort Mocs for these (I mean I chucked them and bought these as a replacement). The Comfort Mocs were coming apart at the sole and were getting loose in the fit. I was also somewhat disappointed that the Comfort Mocs, far from being water resistant, seemed to attract and absorb moisture. The trail shoes feel structurally stiffer and fit more snugly due to better elastic. The sole has more of a profile and seems a bit tougher (grippier) as well. So far, I haven't had wet feet, but "Winter is coming.".

Rated 5 out of 5 by MikeB from Great walking shoe I’m up early to walk the dog and don’t want to take time to tie shoes. Just go out for a nice walk and a cup of coffee. First thing in the morning. These shoes are great. They were stiff at first but after about 3 weeks of walking 3 times a day they’ve loosened and fit great. Sturdy, great support and great sole/heel for walking on sidewalks and grass hills. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by beaner from perfect fit I am pleased with this purchase as buying shoes online can sometimes be a real act of faith hoping they will fit instead of actually trying them on to make sure of it. I am hoping the materials will hold up and the sole will adhere to the leather for a good long time as they are plenty comfortable with excellent traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackson from Great Shoes Bought these to replace a pair of similar shoe's I had worn outside doing a little of everything. Needed to be water proof or water resistant and these Bean shoes are that. Look good and feel good as well. Great for walking in wet grass. Comfortable enough to wear for hours. I like'em!

Rated 4 out of 5 by HondaHarley from They do the job the were made to do! These shoes do they job they were intended to do. They are easy on/easy off shoes that you can keep by the door to step outside into the wet grass or on a wet day to walk the dog, get the mail, or whatever you need to do. They are comfortable enough to take a 3 mile walk down the road & into the woods, and they are not bad looking either. I normally wear an 11.5 D in most shoes but I can sometimes wear a 12. In these, I ordered a 12 D. They fit fine but they are a bit sloppy w/o the proper socks. Without socks, they fit like I would expect Crocs to fit. With socks, they are comfortable enough. I have worn them everyday for a week now when out walking the dog and am happy with them on the whole. On the downside, I found them to be very slippery when I entered someone's house on a rainy day and managed to step onto a metal front door plate that had a worn grip surface. It was like stepping on ice. I quickly lost my footing and nearly went head over heels. So, despite the aggressive looking tread, the rubber sole can be slippery given the wrong conditions. I would be even happier with my purchase if the price was also a tad lower but who wouldn't be? With all that said, I would purchase them again.
