Rated 5 out of 5 by TheOilyGuy from Awesome Boots! I was looking for an easy on and off hiker type boot for winter wear. Wow, did I hit a home run with these L.L. Bean "Snow Sneakers". I have just tried the "Arctic Grip" soles on real hard snow pack, they gripped super. I really like the "Hook-and-Loop", in lieu of laces, being 80 years young I hate bending over to tie laces. After wearing these boots for a couple of weeks now, they are very worm and comfortable out in the cold. I have been wearing "Bean Boots" for about 70 years and these "Snow Sneakers" continue to uphold the Bean Boot reputation. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WhiteHeadIsland from Perfect! This was a huge gamble as I had never ordered footwear online before. I have size 12 DD width feet and was concerned that the D size would be too narrow. What a pleasant surprise to find that these not only fit perfectly but they are quite literally the most comfortable items of footwear I've ever had on my feet! The ease of Hook-and-Loop is excellent and rather than looking "clunky", they are indeed quite stylish. I have yet to try them in very icy conditions but so far they have worked just fine on hard packed snow here in Ottawa. I will update the performance on ice ASAP. Thank you LL Bean

Rated 5 out of 5 by JVTroy from My Third Pair This is my third pair of snow sneakers over the years. They are all excellent on snow and very warm. My first pair had shoe laces. The last two pair had velcro straps which hold much better. I upgraded the last pair to the state of the art version with increased traction on snow and ice. Since the second pair had begun to show signs of wear on the heel, they are now being used to wear when doing those late autumn outside clean up chores. Still too good to throw out. In summary, you can't go wrong with these winter shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by grandy from defective I received these boots one month ago and the external fabric where the foot bends when you place weight on your toes is defective. The material has degraded and opened up on both boots at the same points. There is no wear on any other part of those boots . My previous pair (item 258266) has lasted over 5 years and has normal expected wear. The fabric at the same location is different and has held up fine. I have returned the new pair, Do respond to this review. Thank you

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thunderchild from Arctic Grip Nice boot. Comfortable, easy to put on and insulated to be comfortable to the single digits below zero. I'm generally happy with this boot. I walk one to two times a day and have between 20 and 30 miles in the boots. Ice is a real big problem here. I have not been able to notice a significant difference in traction/slippage on ice between these boots and my others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nancy09 from Great shoe I just received my pair this week - in the middle of the artic blast, snow & ice storm. These boots have been comfortably warm at temperatures below 0. My feet stayed dry in the snow and I was amazed at how well they did on the ice. Teenage boys who like to slide down the sidewalk will not want these. But for those of us who prefer to stay on our feet, they are great. Yes you still have to be a little careful, but I was able to walk without too much difficulty. The dog is happier since I was not afraid to walk up the street. Size - I ordered a little large because of my own foot problems & they fit well. My feet have some room to spread & I can walk mostly pain-free. I like the support of the hiking shoe. Well worth the price. I love the velcro. It's much easier in my old age.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BuffaloBob from Great Snow Sneakers I’ve been wearing LL Bean’s snow sneakers for around 20 some years. This is my third pair and I can’t wait for the ice and snow to fall, here in Buffalo, New York with the new traction soles. My only problem this time was when I got my size 8 1/2 snow sneakers, they didn’t fit. I’m 70 years old and I’ve been a size 8 1/2 for many years. I had to order a pair of 9 1/2’s. You will never have cold wet feet with these snow sneakers. BTW, I also bought four more pairs for my 3 grandkids and my son-in-law to get them started on great winter time footwear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by salvationbill from grip They do make walking on wet ice much more secure. They still can slip so must beware. Not a replacement for chains or metal grips, but no taking on and off to go into buildings.
