Not for summer hiking.
Just wore on a wet wading fishing outing. They are not very comfortable in warm weather, don’t seem to breathe. Like wearing a pair of waders.

Great Idea, Poor Execution
I love the old ripstop cargo pants, but it seems they are no longer in production. Decided to try these and they seem to be perfect for what I need. Once I tried them on, it was quickly evident they were subpar compared to the old style. The thighs are cut too narrow, barely getting them over. Then, the pockets are oddly attached to the side hem. Very poor design. Not impressed and sent them back. Please, bring back the ripstop cargo pants!

very good pull-on pants with a minor complaint
Very good pants--pull-on, fit well, built-in elastic belt, look good, four zippered pockets, including good cargo pockets without those pleats that catch on cabinet knobs.
Nothing to not like except for one of my standard Bean-vs-Bauer complaints: LL, why do you insist on making pants/shorts closures of tall posts or snaps? They can be uncomfortable, especially in this case where you know there will be a belt rubbing the closure. How about a good old big flat button? What could be more classic than a button?

What I need, just won't work for me!
I need pants just like these for travel. I loved the ripstop cargo pants, but it seems they have been discontinued. These look great, however, the pockets are strange being sewn directly to the pants. The biggest flaw is the size of the thigh area. The pants are skin tight on my thighs from the groin down to just above my knees. Unfortunately, will be sending
back!
